The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

Chris Evans probably never needs to work again after collecting those Marvel paychecks for 10 years which makes his choice in post-Marvel projects all the more questionable outside of Knives Out and Lightyear. The latter of which wasn't very good but it's still Pixar so you can't fault him for signing on to that one.
I also can understand why he signed for Pain Hustlers. Emily Blunt. Yates. Oscar-bait story.
Gray Man (campy villain) and Ghosted (weakling) were roles to break from being something else besides goodguy Captain America.

With Red One... Yeah, I guess he knows that will be another stinker.. But his bro Hemsworth also has a hard time to pick good projects.

Technically their is no post-Marvel for him anymore. :o
You right. Should amend and say post-2019 :o

Hoping that this brief period of doing shlock is just that, brief. Thankfully he's got a movie with a Cohen brother and Celine Song on the docket. So, he hasn't totally left interesting projects behind. I'll give him a mulligan and just chalk it up to doing these terrible movies allows him more time with his new wife :o

I can see why maybe Red One sounded appealing. Action movie about saving Santa, probably sounded like a stupid but fun to work on project at the time. Not going to win you any Oscars, but will be a fun time.

I forgot all about Pain Hustlers. All that came to mind were Gray Man, Ghosted and Red One out of his post-Marvel stuff.

What kills me now is every time he gets a great non-Marvel project whether it's Furiosa or Transformers One, it has a rough time at the box office. The fact that it's happened twice this year alone is incredible. Mind you, I haven't seen Transformers One yet but based on the praise I believe it's as good as they say.

Said the guy with The Rock avatar. :o

For Fantasy Football :o

But look on the bright side....Kittle, Deebo, and Purdy all had amazing games! So I got like 80 pts :hehe:
How much did you win by during week 1? That’s the real question.

(For those of you scoring at home, the guy with Billy Gunn as his avatar beat the guy with The Rock as his avatar by 90 points!)

It is not shocking he made this public turn after Harold and the Purple Crayon absolutely bombed at the box office. Dude probably figured his leading man career was over and decided the right wing pivot would at least get him work like Kevin Sorbo and Dean Cain. Plus now he can claim his disappearance from the mainstream was due to Hollywood's liberal bias rather than people not caring about him as an actor.

Watched Agatha episode 5... you know when you have that one person in your friend group who can't come up with good jokes or funny stories to tell and we all sit there and do that awkward nodding because we don't have the heart to tell how we really feel because we still like him at the end? That's where I am at with this show. :o

And you call me the fun police.

I really did like that reveal though at the end and the use of that Billie Eilish song. I've been blasting that all day lol.

Yeah, I just gave up after episode 3. With the Penguin on, it feels even more egregious to waste time on such garbage.

It's a fun reveal for sure but everyone knew that after episode 1. But yeah for a spinoff show nobody asked for, they're doing the best they can with what little they have to offer.

Penguin is fun. Spooky season is fun. Anything that doesn't feel like it was written by a very dumb 13 year old can be fun.

And to think The Rock didn't want to main event with Billy Gunn back in the day because he thought he wasn't over enough.

You showed him! :o

Listen, a show in the MCU led by Kathryn Hahn with a diverse cast doing witchcraft and other assorted deviltry just does something for me.
