The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

Yo @flickchick85

I’m just being nosy on some of the nerd posts on Twitter… some of these fans are REALLY mad about DCU Krypto.

He’s a FLIPPING ALIEN DOG.

I can’t.
Just saw some of those posts and yeah...

Yeah, Holland doesn't exactly have "mentor" written all over him.
Even if Holland actually looked his age and not like a perpetual teenager he's still too young IMO. His Spider-Man isn't seasoned enough to take on the mentor role yet. It worked in the video game because while Peter was still in his early twenties, he had already been Spider-Man for like 8 years. When you do the math, Holland's Peter was Spider-Man for about two years or so, then he died, came back to life and there was about a year and change that passed between Endgame and No Way Home. He's not a rookie but certainly not a seasoned vet either.

That just sounds like a lie they told him because Feige wants to do more multiverse garbage because what the hell could have possibly said that is remotely similar to Cap 4? "Spider-Man fights the Hulk"?

Sidebar, I just finished the new Agatha and without posting spoilers, I wonder if Joe Locke has back pain from carrying that episode?

That kid held his own, I don't understand why some folks on social media are trying to drag him.

He and Cristin Milioti are both pleasantly surprising me.

Yeah Joe Locke was solid in that episode which was surprising.

But the moment they cast Cristin Milioti I knew she was gonna have some great scene stealers going back to Fargo season 2 and Black Mirror. So it wasn't really surprising to me.

Just watched episode 4 of Penguin last night, and I’m definitely on team Sofia! Awesome episode, but I think 3 is still my favourite overall.
Poor Farrell, pulls out a worldy performance as Penguin on both the big and small screen, and now been upstaged by Sofia with no one left on Team Oz lol.

Considering Colin himself said no one should like him by the end of episode 8, I’m guessing he’s thrilled with this development. :funny:

I can't remember where I got up to but this dude was fine throughout, more than I can say for most of the rest!

Gunn got pushback for MCU Cosmo being a beatch, but I don’t think the scenes with his brother would have worked nearly as well if the dog was voiced by some Russian dude instead of Maria Bakalova. Having Krypto be a scruffy mutt instead of a purebred guard dog ramps up the characters adorableness and may sell more plushies to boot.

He would be good but I don’t think we’ll see the Riddler in the DCU anytime soon after Reeves just used him in his movie (and we’ll likely see more of Dano’s Riddler in the future).
