The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

Karen and Foggy are important parts of the original show (and in Karen’s case, an important part of Frank’s story as well). It would really be a shame if they were quickly killed off, but like others have said, let’s see how it plays out before we jump to conclusions. I know they were re-added at the last minute, but the entire show was retooled from whatever that initial concept was so hopefully the roles are substantial.

I got The Batman on to celebrate Halloween and...yep, I think opening 10 mins starting with Bruce's monologue might be the best opening to any cbm ever. I said it. What a MOOD.
There really aren't many CBM openings that are on that same level besides The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises and X2. The last three all play out as impressive setpieces but The Batman immediately immerses you in Gotham right out the gate and doesn't let go for three hours.

That people put D'onfero's Fisk above Karen and Foggy is depressing. You make the show pure Matt and Fisk, it loses a lot. Imagine if they had kept Killgrave alive in JJ.

Putting Fisk above them doesn't mean that they aren't important though. It just means that many think Fisk is the second best character in the show, or even tied with Matt. You can have plenty of important characters and I certainly do hope Karen and Foggy got a good amount of time when the show was reworked.

They were bringing back Frank before them. I absolutely do not trust them.

Exactly. I adore D' Onofrio's Fisk but he shouldn't be the main villain in every single season, because it clearly makes it less special this way. He was already the main baddie in both season 1 and season 3 but now he's also in Born Again and let's not forget he was in Echo and Hawkeye as well! I mean, come on. Meanwhile Karen and Foggy are far more important to the Daredevil mythos and it's bad enough there's no Urich, erase them as well and they're killing the heart of the show.

It's basically the equivalent to having a Batman show where Joker is the villain in every season while we're facing a scenario where Alfred and Gordon are having limited to no appearances after some time. Thanks but no thanks.

From what we're hearing though, Fisk and Matt are going to have separate arcs running parallel to each other and they will have limited screen time together. My estimated guess is at the beginning of the season we get that sit down talk we've seen in the trailers where matt and fisk will come to terms with their past and call a truce. So they won't really be going against each other all season long.

I want Fisk as an ever-present running things behind the scenes while getting new lead villains across seasons. Oh and Urich is a huge loss. Sometimes IMO the impact of a death to improved drama is outweighed by the loss of quality a character could bring over many more seasons.

Well Agatha is finally getting a bit better. I was comedy level annoyed by the early episodes but finished 7 now and it’s getting a bit closer to what I originally wanted from the show.

That isn't encouraging me to watch it. I can't do silly stupid. :(

I’m fine with silly stupid if it works, Venom, Anchorman, Dumb & Dumber, this was just.. dumb early on. Getting better now that it’s getting deeper in, maybe skip the first few episodes altogether lol.

First couple eps were so off-putting to me, it would take much higher praise than I've been hearing (which seems to amount to "it turned out alright") to convince me to pick it back up again. Releasing it at the same time as the Penguin, which has been pure brilliance from minute one, did it no favors, either.

Watching Joker 2 right now. Good God, this is so

Feige: you're right we should bring back Killgrave!
