The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

We still need to see Scorpion, Kraven, Carnage, Rhino (done properly), and let's throw in Tombstone and Hammerhead as street level villains for good measure in a Spider-Man movie before we get to any of those. And you know what, throw Venom in there for good measure. It doesn't have to be Hardy but Spider-Man 3 was nowhere near enough of a face off for those two.

Tombstone and Hammerhead could be used for Daredevil to set up another Spidey crossover? 🤔

We ain't getting that crossover. Spider-Man is just destined to have 500 variants across 100 universes every movie now.

I hope this is just Sony seeing the whole Lord/Miller crunch situation and intervening to make sure they take their time with it and make sure nothing is rushed, and not Sony taking advantage and hijacking the whole creative process to make it more of what they want and not what it should be. Between this and being let go from Solo, Lord/Miller really do seem to have a creative process that clashes with the cast and crew and rubs everyone the wrong way, despite the high quality of the end results. It would also explain why Lord/Miller is ending their deal.

The possible scrappage of SV3 seems odd because I felt like I knew where the finale was going. Miles and Prowler fight then join forces against the Spider Society, Team Gwen shows up to even the odds and we have an interdimensional battle, Spider-Woman turns against Miguel and then everybody comes together to stop the Spot, when all hope seems lost Supaidaman and Leapardon arrive to turn the tide of the battle, Miguel eventually admits his error in mistreating Myles - admitting that he, in fact, is the Anomaly - and sacrifices himself, Spider Woman takes control of the new Spider Society and Gwen and Miles kiss and make up.

We cannot do the logical movie. We have to overcomplicate it or spoonfeed it all into Spider-Man 4 instead so we can outperform NWH!

You and your logic :o

As we all know, we can trust the guy who put out a fake scoop about a Sydney Sweeney/Johnny Depp movie and then threw a fit when her reps said it wasn't real.

The guy is going on a major rant on Twitter right now, doesn’t surprise me!

Oh, I’m so excited to hear what it is! :o

Good thing I’m not subscribed to his newsletter anymore.

I am no Jeff Sneider fan but i think this definitely a “where theres smoke theres fire” sort of thing going on with this movie. Clearly things are not going smoothly behind the scenes.

I'm sure it's not a smooth process. It doesn't sound like the last one was. But worth keeping in mind that movie was being worked on until the last minute (not saying it as a positive). So presumably that didn't leave a whole lot of time to work on the next one. When animators were commenting about how they were in bad working conditions for Across, some of them mentioned that there was no animation work started on Beyond by that time. I just don't trust Sneider to have anything solid.
