I mean....I can eat steak every night for dinner lol!!! So much tastier than a happy meal!
FWIW I enjoyed my time with Agatha more than The Penguin
But I'm not crazy about Mafia dramas to begin with, so its not too surprising
Its undoubtedly a well-crafted show, but more and more, I find the movies and tv I find "enjoyable" diverging from the things are more "award-worthy cinema"
Its the Logan versus Deadpool & Wolverine thing. Logan was hands down the better film, but I'll be watching D&W a hell of a lot more often.
Most times I don't need steak au poivre, I want a happy meal

Steak ain't boring if you make it like I do. Gotta season it just right, make a onion, mushroom, and peppers stir fry and lay them on top of the steak. Then enjoyYeah, I'm basically all maffia'd and hitman'd and revenge hero'd out by Hollywood at this point. I have zero interest left in stories about regular people mentally and physically trashing each other for money, fun or just because they can.
I didn't even know the Penguin was coming out this week, which is how uninterested I am in it. Doesn't make it bad - and it's probably partly because it was never my favorite genre in the first place - but it is what it is.
A happy meal actually is kind of poor quality for what it's trying to be, imo, so I wouldn't pick that. But I would pick a good or even half-decent hamburger over any sort of steak* 24/7/365. Steak is boring.
(*I would try Wagyu once if it weren't insanely expensive.)
but this might rival (or surpass) Daredevil as the G.O.A.T. comic book TV series. Just excellent.
Haven't swung by for a while (had my first kid, getting a new job, etc) but wanted to pop in to reiterate how good the Penguin is. I was already excited for The Batman II but this took that to another level.
They are broke.Haven't watched The Penguin yet but excited to dig into it based on what you all are saying.
Why, though, does it feel like WBD isn't giving it enough promotion/marketing?
Congrats on both of those big life events, Flint! Stay winning!Haven't swung by for a while (had my first kid, getting a new job, etc) but wanted to pop in to reiterate how good the Penguin is. I was already excited for The Batman II but this took that to another level.
I wish more superhero shows were like this and not so campy.Penguin is straight fire so far. Best live-action superhero show since Watchmen imo.
