Give Sofia Falcone all the Emmys and Golden Globes next year. Milioti and the writers behind this show really elevated this character, I am obsessed.

Having her in the episode was a pleasant surprise!

I just wish they name dropped Selina Kyle's mother, because IIRC didn't Carmine strangle her too?

If you're gonna do gritty realism in Batman, just do it like this.

I brined it overnight in a bath of apple cider and salt water then I injected turkey broth under the skin, rubbed it with coconut oil and a mixture of dried apple and chili powder seasoning with salt and pepper and then I smoked it vertically for 6 hours.

I can’t wait for our Thanksgiving next month.

Can't believe next month is already Turkey Day. Summer and me jogging in the park during a heatwave was literally last week it feels like.

What a gift getting her to play Sofia has been. It's justified my return to watching shows many times over. And that in addition to a top creative team and an already top quality lead for the title character. Farrell and Milioti are definitive in their roles like Ledger. An absolute treat to get 2 definitive versions in the same show leading and interacting.

Mark Strong could play almost every DC comics villain and probably do a good job. Carmine Falcone, Sinestro and Doctor Sivana. Strong don't miss.

Oh right, thanks. Speaking of which, after repeating this episode I’m going to catch up on all the creator interviews/podcasts. I still rewatch Reeves at Fandome re Batman I, nothing better than super talented creators with genuine passion for the source material.

I'm not overly familiar with Milioti's work outside of her being DiCaprio's first wife in TWOW and her roles in Palm Springs and The Resort but just based on the little I've seen her in I already knew she had talent.

Her work in The Penguin is easily her best acting by far though and hopefully after this show is over, she does go on to do bigger, better things and actually get more leading roles.

I get why some are torn over Mark Strong's performance but honestly for what little he was given I thought he did a great job although he could play those types of roles in his sleep.

Either way this show is on fire right now.

Once you hit a certain number of hosts, they become more like glorified presenters. Jackman did a great job the one time he hosted (that was the same year Heath won for TDK) so I wouldn't mind seeing him host again with or without anyone else.

She'll have a proper fanbase now and hopefully that can help give her more opportunities to showcase this tremendous talent.

Strong I would describe as solid and reliable in any role like this. Might not be the best for every role but doesn't disappoint in a range of villain roles.

It's been a long long time since I was rooting for a movie to fail. X-Men 3 was probably the last one, so nearly 20 years! But after watching the **** pile that was Joker 2, I am glad it's failing miserably.
