And...erhmm...how I am gonna summarize it? Lol

Prior watching it, I read a lot of reaction both from social media and in here that said "Todd Phillips doesnt care about DC, or Todd Phillips doesnt give a eff about Joker, etc etc" and I think at the time that was a hyperbole reactions...I mean, just judging from the trailer, it has not looked that bad, and we were pretty much looking forward to it, but then after we watched it, what first comes through my mind was "hey they (the reaction) might be right after all" lol haha.

We never watched a movie that is so unfocused and confusing as this one. And the musical aspect, not that I hate musical but it was indeed a little too much to the point it kills any momentum of some of the supposed important moment of the movie (and imo...the songs were horrendous)

I am usually forgiving when it comes to give a review, even to several bad CBMs or movies in general (for example I gave both Venom movies a 9, Madam Webb a 7 (thats mostly 5 for Sydney Sweeney and 2 for movie quality itself lol), even Morbius or Dark Phoenix I gave both 5)...but Joker 2 perhaps is the first CBM that I'd give below 4. I can't defend this movie at all.

Taking everything we later found out about Singer out of the equation, I was kinda mad at him too at the time for leaving the X-Men franchise behind to direct Superman Returns. If it had been a better movie I'd have maybe understood.

I'm sure that a Singer-directed X3 would have been more of the same from X2 but it probably would have been leagues better than both the X3 we got and Superman Returns.

You mean Ratner. Rothman's an idiot who failed up but if he's an abusive monster, there's no trace of it on the internet from what I can see.

See, I liked Superman Returns a lot, it got me reading Superman comics and made me a bigger fan of the character. Plus Singer said he would have come back for X3 after SR. But Rothman had to be stubborn. Ratner was a poor director at the time so had they waited they also could have got a decent director to give us a better movie. And now we know about fake scripts being given to actors and directors to get them on board. It was all just a mess.

Unfortunately of course we have found out since that Singer and Ratner were both scumbags in their own right. But X3 was a huge letdown at the time.

I like it when they make the star villain actually act like a villain.

And even with Sofia

Yes, you feel bad for her and what she went through at Arkham, but at the end of the episode she still killed her whole family.

Let sympathetic villains still be villains! :o

And I really want some rigatoni and meatballs after that last episode too.

Sofia killing her family, especially her cousin thus leaving her kid an orphan was pretty cold but I was more distraught about her killing Magpie. Her family mostly sucked. :o The only one I kinda felt sorry for from that whole group was the consigliere guy (can't remember the name but the actor was in Band of Brothers). He didn't seem like he was against Sofia.
