Decided to finally read King in Black and holy cow not only is this some of Marvel’s best stuff in years, this could have easily been fodder for a a two part Venom finale movie instead of….whatever it is they gave us. How they did not adapt this is beyond me.

Because they are essentially adapting the story. The actual King in Black stuff? That was lead into from years (pretty certain it was years, definitely felt like it). This was essentially the start of Cate's run. The revelation of Knull and encountering some minions. The revelation of the Codex. Setting up Absolute Carnage, which does free Knull, which leads to King in Black. Frankly, how they set up what the Codex is, and that Milligan was not Toxin, and that what we thought was the Toxin symbiote abandoned him has me very, very suspicious they want an Absolute/Maximum Carnage mash up.

Knull is a great villain. King in Black is a good story. But as a Venom reader, 3 years with that being THE focus, combined with 2 back to back events... one can get tired of him fairly quickly. And one wonders how good the story is without Dylan Brock.

I would certainly agree with this sentiment!

Much, much better community than Facebook or Twitter, both which I have bad experiences with.

Plus, I don’t have many people in my life who share the same interests, so it’s nice interacting with everyone on here!

I've fallen horribly behind with The Penguin, I've only seen the first two episodes. October was crazy in so many ways. I'm rewatching the beginning and watching the rest this weekend. Gotta get ready for that finale I haven't seen a single spoiler for that show, so I'll still get a fresh experience.

Pretty much, which was a shame because I liked the shows equally but for different reasons. I just didn't have the bandwidth for The Penguin, after watching episode 2, I felt like I had missed half of it, so it was better to save it for later. I'm so very excited to get around to it now.

I’m definitely feeling the joker fatigue as well, but I think the creative team behind The Batman universe stuff has earned themselves some major good will and the benefit of the doubt.
