The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: The SUMC Was In The Amazon With My Mom Studying Spiders Right Before It Died - Part 61

Both of these movies look fun and entertaining. I dont think either of them will be great though.

I'm leaning more towards BNW, I like the tone they're conveying. Thunderbolts* doesnt look like its offering anything new. It looks like the umpteenth "assemble a rag tag team of misfits who hate each other but learn to work together" movie we've seen in the last decade. But again, it looks entertaining.

Storm appearing is the sort of fun thing they should have done rather than just shackling themselves to the Infinity Saga.
Brave New World's trailer is really good and I'm still hoping they actually managed to edit together a decent film.

Yep. And it's ironic that it's only happening now in its final season. I get why they probably couldn't have played around with any of the previously Fox-owned characters for the first season since it was still fairly soon after the merger but they definitely could have started that with S2.

Based on past interviews with the creators, the first 2 seasons went into production back to back. So all the restrictions they had from the 1st season continued into the 2nd.

Ah, I think I remember reading that now. Season 2 airing more than two years after S1 threw me off. I forgot that the Tony on Sakaar episode was meant for the first season too.

But didn't Marvel always had the X-Men and FF rights for animation? I thought so...

I have a hard time imagining Brand New World is going to be overtly serious when we're already seeing a scene of the President being turned into a red monster and people are making jokes.

Might surprise you about how serious it could be since our returning President is a red monster.

Brave New World is chocked with social commentary.

I liked this new Brave New World trailer better than the first one but I'm still skeptical about it. It could really go either way for me. At the very least it looks like the most serious Marvel movie since The Winter Soldier.

Thunderbolts on the other hand looks like a lot of fun and is kind of making me think that each MCU movie we get in 2025 will be better than the last.

Just based on the trailer alone, I'm thinking the reason for the asterisk after Thunderbolts will be because they're actually going to be called the Dark Avengers since they're clearly meeting Valentina in the old Stark Tower. If that's their base of operations then it's a dead giveaway.
I agree with the name change, but I think they will drop the “Dark”.

Ironically enough, The Incredible Hulk is up there with TWS as one of the more serious MCU movies so it's not too much of a stretch if it turns out to be as serious as the trailers are conveying.

Possibly, but what's a good substitute for Dark? Edgy Avengers? :o

While we may never get an Eternals 2, realistically they're going to want to address what happened to them. Ending that movie on a cliffhanger was a mistake but I'm sure we'll see at least most of them again. If they brought back long-forgotten characters like Abomination and Trevor Slattery, the Eternals are definitely going to come into play again in some form.

At least address the Celestial sticking out of the ground.

Brave New World's trailer was slickly edited but I don't see anything that's getting me really hyped. I'm rooting for it but my expectations aren't high.

Thunderbolts looks like it could be pretty good though, the spy/assassin angle is a welcome change of pace from the other movies and it seems like they could have good chemistry.

I don’t remember much about Eternals, tbh. Think I fell asleep for a bit when I watched it.
