The two movies will cost over a billion combined, and they'll make over 5 bil, so they'll be fine.

I think no doubt the movies will do well, well over a billion each for sure. But I'm going to play the skeptical card and say that they may not reach Endgame box office heights, or even close to it.

Endgame just had that perfect fever pitch build up that the audience was primed for. Here, there is no build up. Doomsday is going to have to do a ton of heavy lifting storywise to get people invested on what's going on with this whole narrative.

We are in uncharted waters. If the public facing budget is $500 million, I just can't figure out what they are expecting for a ROI. There is making our money back, but you don't spend that much money to only be barely into the green.

And frankly, the public budget is not going to be the full budget. I have a feeling Cap 4 and Thunderbolts will get the pain to make the Avengers film appear more profitable than they were.

TFA and TROS both actually cost around 500m.

Their ROI will be fine. They're going to make billions in film, partners, and merch revenue. Especially with the expansion of the Marvel campus at the theme park.

They’ve got a good gimmick admittedly going for them. I imagine when that first Doomsday trailer drops and casuals find out RDJ is back and playing a bad guy it’ll probably make that trailer the most viewed of all time and the opening weekend will be huge.
