If you are a producer of the intended SPUMC epic, Hypno Hustler, this is a VERY bad day for you!

In other news, hurray to the death of the Sony films without Spider-Man!

First the fall of Assad and now the fall of the Sonyverse. :o

Now, I gotta think about my official ranking of the non-Spiderverse Sonyverse.

1. Madame Web
2. Morbius
3. Venom
4. El Muerto
5. Venom: Let There Be Carnage
6. Venom: The Last Dance

Even a $15 million opening seems really high for this. I want to know who's gonna go to the movies this weekend and actually go through the thought process of choosing what to watch between Wicked, Gladiator II, Moana 2, Anora, War of the Rohirrim, Y2K, even reissues of Interstellar, Elf and Jim Carrey's The Grinch (at least at my AMC) and saying, "Nah to all that. One ticket to Kraven, please!"

Well, based on this weekend, no one is going to Y2K.

And if not for the Game Awards, I would be seeing Kraven Thur. Fri though....

I can catch Game Awards trailers after the fact. So I will be going to Kraven. But I am going largely to get a night away from the kiddos and so I can be informed when I probably tear it apart, lol! There is no danger of a sequel here, so I don't feel bad using my A List for ir

The Game Awards? That show matters apparently? :o

Just had a thought.

We're all assuming Evans is coming back as Evil Hydra Cap or whatever but what if...what if they're gonna pull the same move with Evans they did with RDJ?

What if Evans isn't playing Cap/Steve or an alternate universe version of him at all but instead they're using Evans to be the debut of a classic Marvel villain like RDJ with Doom? Like, oh I don't know...Mr Sinister or something.

They ain't, lol! Doctor Doom at least has enough superficial similarities for this to work for the general public to see him as Iron Man but evil. This is gonna be the Dark Avengers with evil variants. I am 100% right. I know I am. I hate it. But it's what we are getting

OOOOOOOF I didn't look up the Tomatometer for Y2K until now. That's a shame. It looks fun from the trailers. I'll still check it out eventually because of the cast and Kyle Mooney.

I also want to reiterate that I don't think any normie non comic fans are going to give Kraven the time of day.

As someone who saw it, I didn't hate it but I wished it was better.
This movie was basically trying to be This is The End but it fails to be as clever.

HOWEVER... the late 90s references were phenomenal and perfect.

To me I gave it a 3.5/5 for nostalgia reasons but it's more of a 2.5/5.

Not talking about the tomatometer. It did $2 mil its first weekend. No one is going to go see it.

I got that, I just looked it up to see if it was one of those things where people might check out if they saw that it had good reviews but alas...

(Still probably a better watch than Kraven anyway :o)

Oh, boy! This is terrible! :o:D

Sony’s got about 48 hours to call ATJ up and have him quickly ADR some lines about “catching spiders” and put a new trailer together to attract last minute viewers :o
