Oh, boy! This is terrible! :o:D

They should have just released it a year ago as originally intended and called it a day. Say what you will about Venom 3 as a movie but as far as box office goes that's still finishing on about as high a note as Sony could have hoped for with this dumb cinematic universe.

The directors behind these movies need to come together and make a documentary about the behind the scenes on these movies. Im sure the productions behind Morbius, Madame Web and Kraven are DOOZIES.

Its weird, it seems like Sony puts all this effort into making these things only for them to be aborted at the last minute.

Sony really needs to bring in someone in to tell Tom Rothman and the rest of his inept cronies that people don’t wanna see these characters get movies… maybe we wanna see some of them in spider-man movies, sure.

Like you can do Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Man 2099 and other spinoff versions of the character if they are different enough.

But nobody wants the villain/side character movies, and even if they had to be made, Sony is the worse studio to handle them. Just absolute bottom of the barrel slop every time.

Despite the financial success of the Venom movies, between the poor reception to the SSMU overall and the absolute failure of Joker 2, I would say that we won't be seeing any more comic book villain movies again for a good long while but then I remember that WB/DC Studios has a Clayface movie in development, which is certainly a bold decision for them right now.

There are very few comic villains that can pull off a franchise. I'd argue we've seen the only two already. And in one of them, it was a JINO situation.

Pretty much. Just judging by popularity after Joker and Venom, the only other villains I could maybe see pulling off not even a franchise but just a one off movie are Dr. Doom and Magneto. After all, First Class started off as a Magneto movie and if it had been a solo movie with Fassbender on a Nazi hunt that would have been awesome too. I originally thought it would be a good idea for Doom to be introduced to the MCU with his own movie but that was before the stunt casting of RDJ so to hell with that now I guess. :o

They could definitely make awesome movies. I just can't imagine them as financial successes.

You all have such little faith. Kraven could end up being the next Greatest Showman. :o

First the fall of Assad and now the fall of the Sonyverse. :o

Now, I gotta think about my official ranking of the non-Spiderverse Sonyverse.

1. Madame Web
2. Morbius
3. Venom
4. El Muerto
5. Venom: Let There Be Carnage
6. Venom: The Last Dance

Jackpot's pitch meeting gets more love than Madame Web's box office run does :o

Wow, Kraven is BAD!

Is anyone shocked?

Here’s my idea for Sony:

Italian Spider-Man!

Would be better than all the other movies they put out, lol

I am genuinely curious on what the Hell is going on behind the scenes during these Sony productions. It sounds like the directors come into these things with good intentions and perhaps good ideas but then the suits just rip these movies to shreds in post for some reason. This sounds like another Madame Web mess.

I’m seeing it opening night!!

Didn't care as much if they made a terrible film out of Morbius & Madame Web but Kraven is legitimately one of the best Spidey villains so botching his first live-action appearance this badly really bums me out.

Chameleon too.
