The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: The SUMC Was In The Amazon With My Mom Studying Spiders Right Before It Died - Part 61

That's another show I wanted to watch but never got the time for it.

It's the kind of humor James Gunn thinks he's doing. :sneeze:

Thanks to the internet, I now know he and other men with high hairlines take Finasteride for their hair. :o

I'm working today so now is as good a time to get caught up on some recent convos as any...

Saw the Daredevil trailer and thought it looked great. Homage is fine but I hope the show aspires to be its 'own' thing instead of just trying to ape what came before...

Also looking forward to Brave New World. In fact, this will be the first film I see in theatres since Deadpool/Wolverine last summer...

I've decided to make Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man the next series I watch in 'real time' after Penguin. I haven't read anything about episode length but I'm assuming they won't be more than 30 minutes, considering it's an animated show. Totally doable...

So sad to read about David Lynch. He directed two of my all-time favourite films, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive. I still need to watch Inland Empire, though I suspect it will land differently now...

Kraven is reportedly coming to our local streaming service here in Canada next month. Let the Crave/Kraven jokes commence...

The roommate and I are re-upping our Stack TV subscription soon to watch Day of the Jackal, so I'll take advantage of that to get caught up on Season 2 of My Adventures With Superman. I found the first season to be utterly charming and delightful, and I seem to recall lots of enthusiasm around here for the second one, so definitely looking forward to that. In fact, I've decided to make this the year that I finally bone up on my Superman lore, in anticipation of the new movie coming this summer. I've never read any Superman comics, so my only experience with the character has been MAWS, the first two Reeve films, and the Snyder films. Everything I know about the character has been absorbed through pop culture osmosis haha...

Several folks here kindly suggested several classic Superman arcs in the comics so I'm hoping to get a DC Universe Infinite subscription sometime this year, time permitting of course...

The Goonies is another one of those cult classics that's completely eluded me. Having not grown up with it and having no emotional attachment to it, I'm not sure how it would land for me at the age of 32...

Congrats to Moana 2 for crossing $1 billion this weekend...

I realize that all this pop culture talk is frivolous considering the inauguration tomorrow, but I need as many distractions as I can get right about now...
