The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: The SUMC Was In The Amazon With My Mom Studying Spiders Right Before It Died - Part 61

Oh these scoopers make me laugh. Denzel aint committing himself to Zod knows how many MCU films to play Magneto. Dude eants to retire soon. He’s gonna play a one off character in Black Panther and he’ll move on to the next project.
Again, Denzel Magneto turning into John David Magneto. :o

also til Gretchen from Recess was voiced by Ashley Johnson

I love Ashley's work. She also voiced Tulip and Lake in Infinity Train.

Why would Magneto even be in Black Panther 3 in the first place?

He wouldn't. Denzel isn't going to be Magneto in the MCU. He's 70 years old, he's not about to sign a 9-movie Marvel contract.

My teacher showed us the footage of the Challenger explosion... can't remember if it was from elementary school or middle school.
I was a store when it happened and it was on all the TVs that were for sale. Heartbreaking. :(

I also don't see Marvel removing the holocaust origin from Magneto when they have the opportunity to connect him to the First Avenger timeline where Captain America existed and fought Hydra, all of which created elements (super solder serum, cryo freezing people for 70 years, etc) that allows us to buy Erik being that old and still looking 50-ish. And you really think Marvel is going to not take advantage of the opportunity to show us a flashback of Captain America liberating a young Magneto from a camp? Oh they are totally going to do that ****.

They are not changing Magneto's origin.

I dont think they would put Magento in Black Panther 3. So I don't see this ever happening. But I would love Denzel as Magento

I also think they're going to keep Magneto's holocaust origin. It's too inherently important to the character. That said, it's also not a guarantee that he'd be from the mainline MCU universe either because he'd be pushing 100 years old and the "mutants age slower" trope from the Fox movies really shouldn't apply to anyone besides Logan or any other mutants with similar powers. They could go the Fantastic Four route and have them displaced from their own universe 30-40 years in the past into the mainline MCU.

I have such a good origin story for him in my mind, but the world ain't ready for Black Magneto.

He would be SO timely though and a pleasant surprise, but Mickey don't got the balls.
I'd be intrigued but even if it were on the table I think Denzel, as much as he'd kill it, is getting up there and I don't think he'd commit to anything beyond an unrelated role in BP3 when it comes to Marvel. You know who I think would also make for a great Magneto is the current voice of Norman Osborn.

He is absolutely going to be from the mainline MCU universe.

Marvel is not FOX. They aren't as hung up on "realism" as Bryan Singer was. They will use a comic booky explanation for it and move on (which is exactly what they should do).

Watching Daredevil. Imagine being someone who thinks what you need to change about this shows is *checks notes* there's too much people standing around talking.

We are so cooked. :weeping:

My other takeaway from his comments, you are getting 30 minute episodes.

I look at the world today, and I'm thinking we do actually need to move on from his Holocaust origin. Because it sets such a scale for horribleness, that way, way too many are able to ignore other genocides.

Not even going to get my hopes up and speculate a black Magnus, because we’re getting Mister Sinister anyway. :o

Are we sure about that? Them coming from another universe (NOT the Fox Universe btw) is an easy way to dodge the question of "where were they during the battles in the Avengers movies?", etc.

I dont think it's a guarantee at all Magneto won't end up being multiverse displaced. But they're only doing that if they opt to bring back Fassbender. If they get a new actor, I am sure he will be mainline MCU.

As for the Holocaust Survivor aspect....depends on what the vision is for the MCU X-Men. I would be more than okay with updating it, personally.

I really hope they don't go that route because it makes it even hokier. I mean there's mutants in the current MCU, but if they just use the excuse that Hulk's snap helped to proliferate them and now they're growing exponentially and people are getting nervous and scared, then you have something on your hands.
