Another valid point. Because when I was a kid I sure as hell was into these dinosaurs...

Just noticed this year was a better year in the domestic Top 10 for female-led or co-lead movies than last year (which included Barbie).

A horrible year for women in U.S. politics but a good year for women in entertainment. Trump and Republicans are pushing companies to abolish everything that is not straight and white and male so even that may not last.

I’m watching John Rocha’s show and he’s talking about Cap 4 and he said something very sobering that made me realize that this is where we are at with superhero cinema. He said, “this movie just needs to be good enough to get us to the next film.” Thats where we’re at, people, just be passable and mediocre enough so we can get to the next thing.

Given Zemo's ties to the Thunderbolts in the comics and well... Ross's obvious ties to the Thunderbolts, there has to be a way they could have combined Cap 4 and Thunderbolts into a single movie.

I don't know about ya all, but five credited screenwriters certainly gives me confidence that a movie will be coherent and have a consistent creative vision, and not be a cobbled together mess. :o

I do wonder how much of a liability the name Captain America is going to be for the international audiences. It is going to be absolutely crushed in China.

They could’ve had one mess instead of what looks like two.

It didn't seem to negatively affect the previous movies

But America is a s***show right now on a level it wasn't previously
Added to a Black Cap and all the possibly even more racist countries like China

So I dunno what'll happen, and its a shame Mackie can't just lead his own film free of pre-conceptions, feel a little bad for him

I'd argue we've kinda been there for 4 years honestly.

With some exceptions, everything post-End game has just felt like spinning wheels, some more successfully than others.

Only thing that pops into my head as truly exceptional would be the Batman and the Penguin.

Just three weeks until Daredevil kicks off. My expectations were adjusted a bit with the showrunner's comments, but I'm certainly looking forward to it more than Cap 4, which I'm seeing in under 24 hours.
I keep forgetting it's coming out so soon. I might have to attempt a rewatch of seasons 1-3 although it's really the third season that I most need a refresher on.

So the reactions to CA4 are a mixed bag, huh? I was rooting for a TWS style thriller but it seems like it was more interested in wrapping up loose ends from two MCU films.
