The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread* - Part 61

Nothing could've prepped me for what I was about to see when I clicked "Show More". No ****ing way is anyone actually excited for that more than everything else on that list. Including the fake ass Accountant 2 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Beyond the Spider-Verse in 2025?

This is why @Kane52630 is getting you that Booster action figure for Christmas. :sneeze:

A boy can dream! Also my hope is it has to come out in 2025, because they don't want two Spidey flicks in 2026. Please don't be 2027...
Is that a Marvel Studios mandate whenever they collaborate on a Spidey movie with Sony? Because otherwise Sony could afford to double down on Spidey anyway now that their precious villain cinematic universe is....*deep exhale while I wipe a lone tear from my eye*...dead. :weeping:

And I can't post it because of the language, but that trailer for the new season of Harley Quinn was FUNNY AS HELL.

Adding Superman and Lois into the mix is going to be so good.

Home Alone
Jingle All The Way
The Santa Clause
A Christmas Story

That’s my Mt Rushmore.

Bad Santa is a holiday classic too, but y’all too sensitive. :sneeze:
Swap out The Santa Clause for Muppet Christmas Carol and Jingle All The Way for Christmas Vacation and that's basically mine. Home Alone and Home Alone 2 are interchangeable for me. The first one is a classic but Lost in NY is so much more of a crowdpleaser. The Grinch (Jim Carrey version) is also a not-so-guilty pleasure of mine.

My Christmas movie Mt Rushmore would probably be

Home Alone 2 Lost in NY
Jingle All The Way
Batman Returns
Bad Santa

A Christmas Story, OG Home Alone, Die Hard, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Black Christmas are right underneath.
I'm sure your bias has nothing to do with the first choice. :o

I'm going to tell you a secret and don't tell nobody.

I don't think I've ever seen the Muppet Christmas Carol and I've only seen bits of Christmas Vacation, never the whole thing in its entirety. I need to rectify that.

I love the first one but 2 is more rewatchable. Plus it's got Tim Curry!

And has the best looking cheese pizza ever seen on celluloid.

Right up there with TMNT 2 Secret of the Ooze's intro.

Shame on me.

I'm swapping out The Santa Clause for Returns on my Mt Rushmore.

Christmas Vacation is hysterical and Muppet Christmas Carol is the best version of the story ever put to film. Michael Caine is legitimately brilliant in it. He played the whole thing super serious as if he was acting with people and not Muppets.

Good. I think The Santa Clause is fine but it's a notable movie for me because it made me realize from a young age that Tim Allen isn't funny. :o

I would expect nothing less from Sir Caine. Definitely gotta sit down and watch it.

And man, I rewatch The Santa Clause out of childhood nostalgia, but you are so right. Also, every time I rewatch it I want to fist fight Charlie for being annoying. :o

Because I'm Darth and I don't give a **** about rules, I have two different Christmas Mt. Rushmore. One that's about the build, the other for Eve/Day.

Build Up
Home Alone
Let It Snow
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Arthur Christmas

Eve/Day
Love Actually
A Christmas Story
It's a Wonderful Knife
Anora

The first set get me in the mood every year. The latter set are the things that have me melancholy by the end because it's all winding down. Especially Love Actually, which I try to watch last every year.

I have not watched Home Alone 2 in a long time. And with the cameo, probably won't for a longer time yet. But I would be shocked if I liked it more then the first. Which I find to just be a perfect movie.

Oh, you noticed Anora. Well, you see, it has snow it in it. It is also the greatest gift I've ever received in my entire life. Thank you Sean Baker. You're my wise man.
