Happy Easter, Guest!
It is a little misleading since you can easily see Leticia, Vanessa and Florence having the most screen time after Pedro, Downey and Hemsworth. Not about how many characters but what they do in the movie. The only thing that sticks out to me is Brie not being back
ViewerAnon on the recent Superman test screenings:

ViewerAnon is an exception. He used to be a pretty active member of this forum for a long time and when it comes to scoops is probably more reliable that the rest. He doesn’t posts things for drama sake.Lol so damn weird that scoopers are running to throw wrenches any which way over test screenings 4 months out: “I hear a few parts didn’t get a standing ovation so idk, maybe the whole film is unwatchable? Also other buzzwords: messy, divisive, polarizing, humor, etc.”

Not that I think either of these two Avengers movies will underperform, but YouTube views don't amount to box office success.
Which is funny since the only two OG Avengers in the chair lineup were Hemsworth and RDJ in a role that's not Tony. Though I'm sure they'll all be back in Secret Wars, or even cameos in Doomsday from Ruffalo and Renner. This is why they went back to the old Avengers crew.
Extraordinarily,People also just simply get sick of things once theres so much of it. Every movie genre experiences it. People loved erotic thrillers and disaster movies in the 90s and then they got sick of them. People loved slasher movies and action movies in the 80s and they waned down once theres was so much of them on the market. Political thrillers of the 70s, spy movies of the 60s, westerns of the 50s, film noir of the 30s/40s. Etc etc etc
Theres just a loottt of superhero content out these days and its reached or passed its zenith. They need to work a lot harder to impress people now.
I take it Damson Idris is a Preference not a confirmed fact?Definitely Vanessa and Florence. I think this is Leticia's last moment as Black Panther, before they replace her with the new T'Challa Jr/ Damson Idris.
The failure of "The Marvels" might have a lot to do with that. From a business perspective, it's the MCU's biggest theatrical loss.
I remember when Feige originally wanted Brie Larson to be the 'face' and central character of the MCU post-Endgame. Looks like they've pivoted.
It will be divisive to some. It always is. If you read some social media, you'd think The Batman was the most divisive Batman solo. It's a question of is it divisive to the majority. When Vieweranon speaks, I listen. He's not one of those scoopers that posts BS for the sake of it.
So we might be in for yet another divisiuve Superman movie.
This is what my gut tells me: its gonna feel like a James Gunn movie, not as goofy and eccentric as Guardians but there will be lots of humor, the tone will be light on its feet, its going to play it "safe" and be a relatively straightforward movie. Basically, think Dr Strange, the first one. A very safe, by the numbers movie that relies on the charm of its lead to carry it, thats what I think Superman will be. And I think for alot that will be enough and alot will feel like its a nothing burger of a movie that took no risks or didnt go big or bold enough.

Honestly, what I expect is for Clark to be a bit more old fashion in his goofiness. This might feel a bit more Silver Age, with a Post-Crisis veneer.Obviously we're all going to find out for ourselves in a few months and ViewerAnon's pedigree aside, but I could so see Gunn's Superman definitely being polarizing. It tracks with Gunn to be honest.
Take Creature Commandos. He started off in his typical way, and it was morbidly entertaining for a bit, but then he steadily got off the rails as it went on.
And this whole silly tone thing. I'm just bracing myself for Clark to make dirty jokes or even worse... having Pa Kent be a dirty old man making dirty jokes.

No part of me thinks Clark or Jonathan will be making dick jokes lol
Has Pa Kent been cast?No part of me thinks Clark or Jonathan will be making dick jokes lol
Exactly. It’s been obvious from the start to me - Guy Gardner and the Daily Planet crew are 100% there to fulfill Gunn’s usual humor quotient, while Supes will be a little goofy but in a dorky/wholesome way. Which works for me.Honestly, what I expect is for Clark to be a bit more old fashion in his goofiness. This might feel a bit more Silver Age, with a Post-Crisis veneer.
That is how I could see it being a little divisive. People expecting something on the whole more "prestige" but it has plenty of old fashion goof. If you're worried about Gunn style humor, that is what Guy and the Planet crew are for. Don't think Clark will be involved there.
