OOC Awards

Overall MVP (in all categories): Batman. Our very own Mod. Between running the quite successful UDC as well as contributing to the games as a whole by keeping everything in order, I definitely believe he deserves this. Honorable mention to Byrd for GMing almost every game and keeping them going.

MVP (in Marvel): Spider-Man9x17. One of our most consistent players since the game's reboot, Spidey's good storytelling and consistent posting in Marvel (prior to it's slow spell) is what I believe makes him the most deserving of this award, and I can't wait to see how well he does as one of the game's GMs. Honorable mention to bkhedr for the same reasons.

MVP (in DC): Byrd Man. No question, hands down he deserves this. A true GM, consistent and great poster, and great with the cracking down on lazy folk like myself, he is my top pick for this award. Honorable mention to Keyser Soze and Watchman for their great work in DC this year.

MVP (in Misc): trustyside-kick. As great a GM as NiteMare and Spike are, I nominate trusty for all the great contributions he's made for CAH and the now defunct Pokemon RPG in the forms of art, sprites, micro-heroes as well as some great stories as his character the Archangel. Honorable mentions to NiteMare Shape in CAH as well as wiegeabo and Carnage27 in OU.

RPG Lifetime Achievement Award: Harlekin. You may not see him much outside of the DC games, and as of late you don't see him with more than about two or three characters under his belt, but he's a great storyteller nonetheless, and the fact that he has years worth of said great stories here on this very forum is why I nominate him for this award.

RPG of the Year: World of Heroes DC. Great stuff this year guys. I had a blast, and next season's gonna be the best yet.

Best Game Master Award: Byrd, for all the reasons previously stated above.

Breakout Player of the Year: wiegeabo. This guy's a superstar. For Batman to Sinestro to Jay Garrick, this man I had the pleasure of working with since I've picked up the Flash in DC has done some of his best work ever this past year. I especially love his Sinestro and Jay. It's not going to be the same next season without him by my side as Jay, but I'm gonna try. Seriously, wieg. Great work.

Most Improved Player: sabetoonth. As someone who can relate to joining these games without the best of writing skills, I give major props for sabe's persistence and his sticking around as well as his overall growth as a writer, and I hope to see that growth continue and wish him the best.

Best Newcomer: Bounce. Without a doubt. Every post he makes floors me with how brilliantly composed they are and how interesting they make his characters.


IC Awards

Best Multiple PC Story Arc: Blackest Crisis (man I never get tired of coming up with clever names for arcs t: ). Awesomeness all around from everyone who participated. It may have taken longer than expected, but every story that was going on while s**t was hitting the fan was all top-notch. Kudos, everyone.

Best Solo Story Arc: Byrd's Ultimate Holiday arc. Need I say more?

Best Hero: Keyser's Hal Jordan.

Best "Walking The Line" Character: Bounce's Damian Wayne.

Best Villain: Tough choice, but Spike's Bane is full of epic.

Best Developed Character: wiegeabo's Sinestro.

Best Team-Up: Byrd Man's/Eddie Brock's Superman and wiegeabo's Batman in OU. Truly why they are the World's Finest.

Best Fight: Everyone vs. Darkseid and the Black Lanterns in DC.

Best Post: Tough to pick just one, but I REALLY liked this one:

That said, I'm alittle hesitant to get my own nominations in as I am mostly confined to the Misc section, and I feel that I wouldn't be able to make my nominations based on merit.

RPG of the Year: CAH. I'm reluctant to nominate any game, as I'm only involved with 2 games at the moment, and I GM both of them, but this game has seen some great storytelling in the last year, and I'm sure that it will only get better.


Best Game Master Award: Wiegabo. The guy is a machine, he keeps everyone honest and is probably one of the easiest GM's to work with out there.

Breakout Player of the Year: wiegeabo. He's everywhere, and for a guy who's as visible in as many games as he's in, the quality of his posts haven't suffered one bit. Honorable mention to Carnage27 and Rain Dog

Most Improved Player: Mr Majestic. He's really stepped up his game and has been a major contributor to the RPG's.
