BvS The Superman suit Thread - Part 1

I know a lot of people don't care, but i think i'd really love to see the yellow S on the cape.

That would be soooo sweet.

Everytime i see the cape i feel like something is missing

I know it's been discussed, but I really like the way Superman's suit represents a sort of brighter, more hopeful and less tarnished "Kryptonian" ideal compared to what even Jor-El wore. They really did a nice job with the costumes conveying things visually.

Exactly what I thought. The colour is symbolic of a rebirth so to speak.

As for the yellow S. It's redundant...if we can see the S on his chest, we don't need another one. I didn't like it in the comics then, and I don't like it now.

Unfortunately we already know it will be changed by way of "tweaks." What I'm
hoping is that it's purely functional and not aesthetic. Meaning we won't be able to tell a thing. The MOS suit IMO is THE perfect modern adaptation of the super suit. Even though SO many are divided on the film, it seems to me the general consensus is everyone loved/accepted the suit.

Be like Rami's Spider-man films in that if you change the suit, let it be so minimal we can't tell. Superman isn't Batman. There's no rhyme or reason (certainly not after it's definition as layed out in MoS) that is should
change.

I want an \S/ on the cape, but I'd prefer its a slightly translucent black \S/ like it is currently in the comics.

Those two seams in the...crotch region are zips so he can go to the bathroom.

It is...but I still like the Raimi suit better overall.

I think any changes should be to color. If you're going to have Supes and batman on screen together, Supes is going to have to contrast more. Especially in some of the night scenes with the two of them together,

I didn't mind the suit in MOS.. I just wish that the coloration wasn't so desaturated after it was filmed.
In person, the colors were much more impressive.

As far as tweaks? I do expect some little ones.. At least due to Michael (costume designer) putting his own finger print on it. The MOS suit was initially designed by Jim A. For MOS.. After he became ill, and Michael took over for MOS? The suit was pretty much established.
Now with Michael W. In charge? I am sure that he will want to make it his own in some way... Personally? I would like to see the texture removed from the "S" on the chest. I do not mind the textures on the suit, as long as the colors are allowed to be brighter. But the textures on the "S" itself were not something that I liked.

I'm also mildly bothered that Jim Lee still can't nail the Superman logo/family crest symbol.
