BvS The Superman suit Thread - Part 1

they said they'll "tweak" the suit so it's most likely just small unnoticeable changes. adding the red trunk is not just a tweak, more like a design overhaul.

The suit is pretty much perfect as it is. Every now and then I feel like there should be some red in the midsection. Not even proper underwear, maybe just a red band worked into that 'belt' design.

I'm assuming we will see Superman in his suit at night time now as well since Batman is in this. Do you think they will brighten up the suit for the night scenes? So it doesn't look so damn dark.

Probably the only changes that will be made imo, to make it stand out a bit compared to Batman.

I agree.. I would like to see the "s" not textured at all, but that is just me.
Would have to go about it differently, the "yellow" areas of the "S" were actually part of the blue material last time..

Print out an entire emblem.. And smooth it out a bit.

I think their gona make the cape a little smaller, and brighten up colors. Maybe change some texture ..maybe a type of belt

To me the suit is perfection personified! I just love everything about it and the only changes I'd like to see are practical ones e.g. making it easier to come on and off when Cavill needs to go to the rest room, which non of us of would notice anyways.

I wouldn't change a thing except make the colors brighter a bit...the blue and yellow. The rest is fine to me. In too many of the scenes the yellow just didn't look like yellow. Ditch the desaturation filter

The symbol texture is great It got the 3D vibe and I like that. I think don't change the awesome.

Honestly I don't mind the saturation for this take. It reminds me of the darker Fleischer colors, which I think is what Snyder was going for. Plus it worked for the 'real-world' tone he was going for as well. I don't think a bright primary colored suit would look as good in this film as we might think. And the color manips people have done here definitely confirmed that for me, making it look completely garish. Plus we've had that with Reeve.
