This.

That said, I think they may have changed the undersuit:

Doesn't seem the same as this, nor does the suit seem to have as much shine as the previous. Which, was all thanks to the undersuit and the quasi-perforation the top layer previously had.

It might just be the brighter, bolder colors balancing things out. Or, they may have altered it a bit to make the musculatre less sheeny, and focus a bit more on the shading factor.

Sweet Jesus, is that metal?

Those suits must be much more uncomfortable to wear than I thought.

Ah, okay... That wouldn't make much sense anyway. :woot:

I imagine the suit won't look as vibrant in the finished film, but it should still have a bit more color to it than the MoS suit did, which is a huge plus.

I myself am indifferent to the new "belt" buckle, but if I had to pick a side, I prefer it. The square compliments the angular S shield better, and it gives off a more masculine vibe than the oval does in a way I can't really explain. And despite not being removed entirely (which would have been my preference), the pipings appear to be more seamlessly incorporated into the legs, which is much more pleasing to the eye. In fact, all of the ribbing and detailing on the suit blends in better this time around, creating a more streamlined visual.

As a whole, the suit looks... friendlier. I mean he's now flying around in a bright blue and red costume. Right off the bat he appears far more approachable than he did in the previous film.

They're really knocking it out of the park with these costumes. Literally the only things I can find to nitpick are Wonder Woman's wedges, but even those are negligible in the grand scheme of things. God give my body strength when they release an official still of Supes and Bats together.

I know the tweaks in the new suit are minor, but the bother me a little bit. I think if the MoS suit had a shorter cape, and the colors were more vivid, it wouldve ranked right up there with the classic suit.

I'm not liking the gelled back hair look either, might work if they gave him a spitcurl.

I see this comparisson incorrect, cause the first one was an official set pic, had the proper light and blah blah blah. and the other one is a SPY PIC.

looking spy pic with spy pic....
this is how the comparisson goes.

and in here we don't see the texture and the hairstyle also wasn't the same as the one we saw in MOS...
So...

I have that pic on my "inside the legendary world of superman" book. The thing is that the pic you have is an official set pic, an this new one isn't.
My point is... imagine how this brighter suit will look in a set pic like the one you posted :)

It would look glorious.

Shield looks slightly different. Closer to the S from Jor-El's with the center detail and set a bit lower. And remember, Superman was wearing an 18000 year old suit in MOS.
A little dated as far as style goes... ; )
In BvS Kal may have saved the scout ship from Metropolis and uses it as the FoS and has the ship generate a new suit? Or not...

Either way, if he looks like the official poster they released I'm good with that. Even in the rain he looked great!

I remember how goofy Cavil looked in some stills, his hair looked wrong etc...
In the film he looked great. BvS should be even better. Not crazy about the buckle but once the film starts we won't be focusing on minute details when he starts kickin a...

And is it me or does the S shield not look that small there?
Smaller, I judge... top sits lower and the bottom point doesn't reach quite so far down into the top of the six pack. As far as shield goes, I give tops marks to MoS - not a drastic thing; A+ for MoS, A- for new one (though that is a step backward).

I just don't see why they would change the S at all. I don't think I heard one complaint about the S.

True, true... and no one was complaining about the belt buckle either!

The S looks to me, from that pic anyways, a bit wider rather than smaller. And Cavill is significantly bigger than he was in MOS so maybe it's the same size and he's just huge? I know the S is lowered though.

I was just going to say that. It seems they changed its diamond shape, it looks wider than in MOS.

Personally, I liked the MOS one better, but won't make a fuss out of this.

I think this is a better image with better light

I've been thinking this a lot. Don't know what you guys think?

Besides the "not dust on the suit" and to avoid spy pics, why the robe covered the suit like that all the time? and we haven't seen him without the robe. In MOS we've seen on set the back of the cape, so my question is... does this suit have the yellow S and they are trying to hide it?

I know it's almost impossible but...
