Eddie Brock - keep him as a supporting character in the first two films, and introduce the symbiote (or, ''The Suit'') in the third film; have a cliffhanger at the end of Spider-Man 3 where he transforms, and Venom can possibly have more of a central role in Spider-Man 4..or, as Joker would have said, ''No symbiotes, please''.

No s**t, Sherlock. I had the posts named ''delete'' so the admins can know I accidently triple-posted.

I would say use the symbiotes in the second film. Just Venom at first then a team up to stop Carnage (in more ways than one)

If there's any symbiotes at all just Venom. No more. Keep Carnage out of these movies.

I think they should do the symbiotes, if they do them right... they really could be a great thing to see on screen.

But not if it's going to be rushed... Spider-Man 3 would have been soo good if they didn't stick Brock in the same movie, and have him turn into Venom in the last 30, 40 mins...

Carnage would be really cool, but I think it'd be better in a Spin-Off... so everything isn't cluttered with Super-Villains everywhere. lol

for the love of god NO Carnage. Just Eddie Brock and the symbiote (singular). They need to go the Spectacular Spiderman cartoon route and keep as a rising threat through out the series until he finally bonds with the symbiote

I'd like to see Venom done right. The character has alot of potential to be made a great villain but, for that to happen, he needs some exposition before he becomes that goo covered monster.

They need to bring Brock in early and start building him up from the start. Kinda like the 90s cartoon did but in a more drastic way.

Have his life being completly thrashed unintentionally by a reckless Spidey in the course of the first movies. Have drastic side effects of Spidey's actions affect Brock (even have a couple of interactions between them) but without going the stupid Sin Eater route where it was obviously a bad call from Brock.

Saimi got his villains totally backwards. If there's a villain that needs to be sympathetic it's definatly Brock. People need to relate to human behind that duo from the start so that his downfall really gets to people.

Spectacular Spider-Man had Brock go through alot of **** because of Parker. In that show his growing hatred is completly justifiable. That's the kind of thing we need for a movie Venom.

Make him a big older guy tho. No more teen Eddie Brock please...

Not to be. So maybe ONE good thing can come from this.

No symbiotes in any way, shape, or form, please.

Maybe have Brock as a supporting player but I wouldn't do Venom again. I don't even want to see GG until the end of the trilogy.

I'd like a trilogy spared of any symbiotes, myself.

I'd rather not see space symbiotes. The Ultimate interpretation could be cool on film. Maybe change it so Peter reunites with Brock when he goes to ESU himself, if this college rumour is true.

I think Eddie Brock could be a great villain in a movie. Because, let's be honest, Venom was great for a one-time Villain, because he really only has one schtick: Revenge. It's hard to get a lot of mileage out of him, but he's essentially built to be a great film villain.

You could go a lot of ways with him. I think the SSM way could be a great version. Have him be the protective older brother figure for Pete, and throughout all the things that happen, he gets embittered and finally hates Peter.

However, one thing I would take from USM in this case: I would have the symbiote be something the Parkers/Brocks found during one of their research missions. They tested the suit, but realized it was a sentient being, and locked it away. Before they could bring it to a facility for higher testing, they died on the plane crash.

This way, when Pete finds this thing, he could think it's just some sort of advanced suit his parents were working on, before realizing it's actually a living entity.

That was one thing I always had a problem with in the cartoons/movie. Peter knew this thing was a living entity, yet he still wore it. It just seems foolish. At least in the comics he was unaware that it was alive. Using some of the Ultimate influence, we could still get something like this.

The Syms are some of the few characters I can say I actually hate. Hate them, hate what they did to Spidey. The only way they could be presented as a real threat is by relegating Spidey to being an idiot. And making him an idiot worked so well, that it's all Marvel does right now.

I disagree. I think they can work. Venom, as a one-time threat, would be fine for a movie. And as I've said, he's really built to be a movie villain, because the guy only has one thing going for him. Revenge. But for one movie, it would work fine, and it could be very engaging.

Venom's first story in the comics was actually pretty good (once we got past the introduction of Eddie and his incredibly lame reason for hating Spidey). The stalking of his family members, the constant threats, toying with Spidey. All of this made him a fun villain. For one story.

Venom's popularity lead to massive overexposure, which is why so many hate him now. And yes, he did start out as a very underdeveloped villain, but both the 90's TAS and SSM and even USM have given us many more angles we could take with Eddie.

I understand the hate. The symbiotes bogged down the comics for the better part of a decade. But if you keep it to the basics, build up Eddie to be an interesting character over 3 to 4 movies, and then have Venom for a movie, it could be a great story. He would be a compelling character by that time (if the writers have done their job) and he could be a visually amazing villain.

I am all for Eddie Brock as a supporting character with some form of relationship with Peter. Professional and personal. However, keep Venom out of this first trilogy. If he shows up, it should be the forth movie at the earliest.

My only issue with symbiotes is the fact that we've already had the origin story of Venom done. Even if it was flawed, most people who aren't die-hards - heck even some die-hards - would probably roll their eyes at having to sit through Eddie Brock's story all over again. Cause they know what's coming.

They'd have to do something new with it. Like Nolan did with Joker.

I say leave the symbiotes for the third movie. wait until webb and garfield are untouchable and the new spidey movies are at the peak of its popularity and then introduce the symbiotes to make it all come crashing down.

I actually think the symbiotes were created by a DC mole.
the symbiotes **** up the 3rd movie of the reboot
DC - 'agent venom, mission accomplished'

No symbiotes, then symbiote fans will want a symbiote trilogy.
