The new universe suit being worn by Batman in the comics right now is entirely viable for a movie.
I agree.

i dont understand the ''cheap halloween '' insults. i understand if you dont like the design. but it looks in no way cheap. it loks like an expensive movie suit.Still think the Captain suit looks like a cheap Halloween costume but without the cowl present the suit appears ALOT better.

I hope to see Batman glide more in TDKR, It's defiantly one major aspect I'm eagerly waiting to use in Arkham City in just 18 days .
Gliding/flying around the city of Gotham swooping down and taking out thugs out .
this video just adds to my excitement

I like Cap's new suit because it looks armored. It's got a rigidness to it that reminds me of some tac-vests I've seen cops wearing now. I don't get the zig zag pattern in the abs though. If they were there to allow movement then why not make it symmetrical?

I doubt that is the reason. Zig-zagged teeth would prevent any lateral, twisting movement, so they wouldn't be used anyway, since you might as well have a solid plate. No historical suit of armour has lateral articulation at the stomach, let alone an immovable zig-zagged teeth joint. Articulation always occurs at the waist instead.
3 week is going to go by fast, and then you'll be able to Be The Bat and take out all sorts of scumbags out in this type of fashion
I don't agree. He can move well enough because he can move at the waist. I don't think the zig-zags are intended to offer him articulation- if they were, then they wouldn't be zig zags; they would just go for an overlap. There is actually no reason at all to have a join there, other than to add some sort of texture to the design.Um, it doesn't look like his movement would be hindered. From all the pics it looks like he can move rather well. The zigzags are not compact, and allow enough room for movement. The segmentation on the Dark Knight suit basically follows the same pattern as Cap's. They're aligned diagonally on the midsection.
A straight segmentation would allow a blade to slice cleanly through it, like a coin going into a slot.

You mean the TDK suit? That design doesn't work at all. The "plates" are meshed together in a completely illogical arrangement that doesn't facilitate the movement of human limbs at all. I have broken my backspace key in an effort to explain this. The Captain America suit is the better of the two.
