The Hub rules, all the Batman, GI Joe and Transformers you can handle.
Woah, wait! I'm in Manchester right now. What is The Hub?
The Schumacher movies are terribleThe Schumacher movies are terrible because they took themselves too seriously.
So true!NO ONE CARES ABOUT BARBARA'S WILD LIFE. GET BACK TO THE ICE PUNS.
I agree. They re both excellent actors.tommy and val would have been great in their roles in a more serious take

We've lost the plot. We need a pic or rumor of pic of whatever the TDKr suit or suits might or might not to be to put things back in focus.

Agreed.
I asked this question in the last thread, but I don't think anyone answered: How do you guys feel about Batman having white eyes?
While I wouldn't recommend the white lenses now, since they'd be such a drastic change, I do think we're forgetting that it is possible to give great performances when the actor's entire FACE is obscured. V For Vendetta being a prime example.
TDK got the idea right; retractable lenses have always been the answer. The execution was just off.
I think that the "V For Vendetta" approach would work better for Jean Paul Valley's Batman (such as in a Knightfall movie) than Bruce Wayne. Otherwise let us see his eyes.
I would have them retractable, but still have them be contacts that switch to white once activated and stay clear otherwise.
I don't think much can be done to improve, with how the current cowl is constructed. The eyeholes need to be large and that doesn't lend itself well to the lenses concept. I can only really see it employed with a skintight cowl, but even then I'm not sure I'd be ok with the logistics issue of that.TDK got the idea right; retractable lenses have always been the answer. I don't know, I think the current cowl is better for built-in lenses than a skin tight alternative. Yeah, you'd have to cheat by not having the lenses the same shape as the current eye openings--but I don't see that as a problem, since Batman Begins wants us to believe the black makeup is actually part of the cowl to begin with (if you look at the cowl prototype Alfred smashes, it goes right up against where Bale's eye-lids would be).I don't think much can be done to improve, with how the current cowl is constructed. I'm not suggesting they cover Batman's face completley like the V For Vendetta mask, I was merely citing the movie as an example where a performer had his entire face covered, and he was still able to convey emotions beautifully. So I certainly think an actor could manage if he had his eyes covered.
And again, the contact idea that I've proposed lets you still keep a certain extent of emotion in the eye area, since we would still see eyes narrowing/widening etc.

I know, but I don't think it would work for the same reason that KRIM states below:
I think that would be the best choice. Showing his eyes for most of the time allows him to emote better and to not have a blank stare. He could use the lenses to scare people in the dark and do detective work Arkham Asylum style.^I liked that about Batman Arkham Asylum. In regular mode you could see Batman's eyes, in Detective Mode they are white.
Indeed.Incidentally, the mediocrity of that movie aside, they had an absolutely incredibly cowl design.
I was actually thinking of something like GL and/or Rorschach.

During production the actor (Bale or more likely, whoever plays Batman later on) is able to act with their normal view and CGI is later used for the white eyes. Almost like the mask in Daredevil. The cowl would likely look closer to what Batman has at the end of the "Super Harmony" video as far as how much/little we see of the skin around Batman's eyes.
