Can anyone just please answer my question above so I can set it up to record on my dvr?

I happen to really dig 60ish aged men, by the way. I think they get better as they get older. Just saying it ain't Dark Knight's best demo.

Memo to fans who saw TDKR- 60ish white older men will never think that's their idea of the best film of the year. Adjust accordingly.

Any idea on how to take this?

Wasn't it confirmed that critics at the LA screenings were told to sign NDAs? If so, expect no tweets.

I actually kind of expect the Mountain Dew clip and Falling Skies preview to be the same. I don't see why they would release 2 new clips on the same day. It'd make a lot more sense to spread them out...

Must you ask?...

Post of the century.

People are saying some reactions are filtering through but I've only seen the above post.

Adjust accordingly.

Nicholson in The Departed? He's 60 - 70ish.

Is she saying old critics did not like it?

That tweet just means Oscar voters (mainly older white men) will never consider TDKR a best pic type movie

Yeah, it could be the greatest film ever made...it's not winning best picture at the Oscars.

EDIT: Let me explain, Awards Daily is a site that gauges various films' likelihood for nominations at awards season. Now as we know the academy is thought of as nothing but 60 year old plus white men, hence the close mindedness and general "safeness" of films that end up winning. All this is saying is that TDKR is not a film that will win best picture no matter how good it is.

Rubbish. Nolan deserves it.

Ya nowhere is she saying older critics didn't like it, just that it has no Oscar chances (not having anything to do with its quality but with Oscar voter tastes)

Best Picture Oscars tend to go to films I've never seen and usually aren't interested in seeing. So I'm not holding out much hope for my favorite hero.

I was resigned to the "no Oscar" fact a long time ago. Too much politics.

Thats the way i took it
No, she's saying it won't win best picture because the older Oscar voters won't give it that many votes cause it's not their type of movie. It will be nominated for sure now that the category can have up to 10 nominees, but it won't win... unless Lincoln, The Master, and Django Unchained all really suck.

Avatar was nominated for Best Picture.
