If it was coming out in May or something like that, I'd agree with you. But stuff like The Expendables is not gonna take much away from TDKR. This 's biggest drawback will be itself. was kind of a magical thing. We'll see if Nolan can replicate that.

You JUST SAID it'd be out on DVD by December.

And The Hobbit is coming out on December. We will have the TDKR DVD/BD by that point

So you just said yourself it'd have a shorter theater life.

Does anyone else REALLY want to see Batman fighting Bane without the cowl?

Bane takes out Wayne while he's in plain clothes...maybe.
Or maybe that scene from the teaser is Bane approaching to break bats in the middle of the prison complex.

Wayne works to get his strength back while he's behind bars(see push ups).

I'm starting to look forward to this.

i think that bane beats bruce in the batcave, then transports his unconscious body to the prison. when bruce comes to, he opens his eyes to the shot of bane from the teaser. he's too weak to do anything but sit there and listen to bane talk **** to him. bane tells him he'll remain locked in the prison until gotham is destroyed. only then bane will finish him off, because he wants bruce to die knowing that he failed....which will be bane's biggest mistake, because that's what will ultimately end up happening to him.

The TDKR Blu-Ray will be out before the Hobbit hits theaters? That's like telling a Christian the rapture will happen before they plan to marry the girl/guy of their dreams.

Who knows. TDK was released on DVD on December 9, but apparently was still playing a couple hundred theaters into 2009. I believe it was re-released. TDKR might have a shorter theater life (if WB decides they want to pull it and not re-release it) but certainly not because of "The Expendables" lol.

YES!!!!!!!!!!! :awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome::awesome:

If there is ONE scene I want to see happen, that I've been praying to happen since they started shooting, it's maskless Batman, or just Bruce Wayne, fighting Bane. I want to see this.

I've wanted a maskless Batman fight scene since Begins. Just him in the rest of the suit, but no mask.

If this was Spider-Man I'd be like "No. No. No! NOT AGAIN!" But seeing as it's never happened in a Batman film before, I wouldn't mind it. I always loved that shot of Bale in Begins without the cowl. The one people refer to as very Darth Vader-esque.

I want a scene like that so damn much. :awesome:

Nolan seems fond of maskless Batman scenes so I think it's very likely to get one.

I want to see him take the mask off and the black eye makeup on not magically disappear

But the black eye makeup is magic. To have the scene you described would take the charm away from it.

DUDE THAT'S WHY I USED IT IN MY CHRISTIAN BALE/DARTH VADER VIDEO. It is like Vader!

"That shade goes well with you, Bruce." :oldrazz:

In the script they mention the eye make-up. Think they changed it in the movie and tried to imply that the cowl's eye holes were tiny:

I mean what of it if he has black eye makeup

it's ok in the right context

So now that we can hear the chanting all throughout the trailer, and we know it means "rises", do you we know what language it's in?

Just spoke with my friend (who worked on the entire production) about a few things. He couldn't reveal too much (once again), but did manage to say that Batman isn't the only one Bane breaks. Think of it this way: how would everyone feel if Bane wasn't defeated by Batman, but by the citizens of Gotham themselves? Remember... Batman doesn't kill. And from what I've sourced, that's what will be needed to defeat Bane.

I felt that Nolan should've had Bane rip the CIA guy apart.

There are ways to imply it without having to be too graphic.

That was my only disappointment with the prologue.
