That implies Bane travels from Gotham to this far away place to talk to bruce.
maybe he travels with his henchman when they bring all rich people to the prison.
it will be interesting to see where this prison location is. it looks like a temple that was transformed to a prison. i dont understand why this temple would be under Gotham. :yay:

i understand that this room could be used in a different context in teh TDKR movie. i understand that just because its in India in real life that it doesnt have to be in India in the movie. but it has a veery specific look. something so specific wouldnt be build under Gotham IMO

I do...I really think its a converted sewer system or something. It does look like a temple but I wouldn't be too shocked if it weren't.

dark_b, I didnt even CONSIDER that! What if they throw all the richies in jail? Oh man. This is why I love coming here before a flick comes out, because my mind already has a billion what ifs and you guys help me build it even bigger.

i will have to force myself to be open minded if this is the sewers. if those are the sewers i would like to ask Nolan who the arhitect was in Gotham who designed this. the guy needs to get punched in the face. :yay:

Here's what I have a problem reconciling.

If Bane shuts down Gotham and throws the rich in jail, why would he leave Gotham to take Wayne to a far away prison?

wouldn't that give Gotham time to recover?

Have you seen some ancient and modern underground systems? this isn't really totally out of line

:lmao:

Very true.

It could be plausible that Bane has Bruce and other elite figures taken to prison by some of his men while he remains in Gotham. However from a narrative perspective I think it's far more powerful if Bruce is within the city, powerless, as it's gutted all around him.

He could leave his men in charge. Bringing Bruce to that prison would just take at most 2-3 days regardless of where it is.

Do we know how "on lock down" Gotham is? Is it where cops have no more authority and if you're out on the street at night you're considered a criminal? I hope so...
the rumor is that the police is hidding in the sewers after Bane locks down gotham.

we saw that they filmed tumblers driving through the streets and controling the people. we saw this tunnel closed down with cars.

plus dont forget that durring the batwing/tumbler chase, there is noone one the street. its empty. because it would be to expensive to have extras? no. they had a lot extras for the fight on the street. it would be cheap to have 10 extras walking on the street when they drive. Gotham is locked down. after the football game i think Bane will destroy a big part of Gotham. and a lot people run away and outside. who didnt was locked inside Gotham.

I don't think he'll be gone for long, and he has mercenaries to maintain "order". He'll probably take Bruce to his prison, then immediately return. It also coincides with a few other things we've seen:

  • Exteriors for the prison entrance were shot in India.
  • We see Selina Kyle in the airport in the trailer, which relates to...
  • The shot of Catwoman looking into a prison cell in the prologue montage.

I don't know... the prison that Catwoman was looking into might not be the same prison that Bruce is in.

Selina could be going anyplace and we really don't know if she even goes anywhere.

Exteriors were shot in India of the fort but we've yet to see what that is. We have no idea if it was the prison entrance or not.

Bane leaving for two or three days seems...REALLY strange to me. He finally amasses control over Gotham and then leaves? How does he know the CIA won't come into Gotham in that time, he's got mercs sure but he's the boss, that would someone lessen his importance. As of now I consider him the backbone of this thing, he keeps the control fully hands on.

Gotham is locked down, I'm not sure about planes but if a plane can get in and out of Gotham what's stopping the military from coming in and out of Gotham?

I think him staying in Gotham makes more sense to me at this current time.

a very important question. did they film the India castle with helicopters?

maybe Nolan made a decision to film the castle for a Ra's flashback and at the same time use the interior of the castel for the prison? that way they didnt have to travel to two different locations. but in the movie it will be two different locations?

There were reports of Nolan filming something in IMAX with a helicopter but IS seem to recall reports too that something screwed up with that shoot and they weren't able to get what they need.

I just want to be clear, I brought up this rumor. I 'started' it so to speak; Because I heard an extra on set speaking about it in NYC. he even said some of the cops would have mud on them from a battle in the underground and when we snuck to see the cops, we saw some of them with dirty uniforms.

So the cops are being held somewhere underground in Gotham, why not Bruce?

they weren't able to get it that day, something with the IMAX Camera. I think they ultimately got the shot though

Why are we so sure again that Bruce was imprisoned by Bane? Was it because of those bars in the background shot of Bane when he was talking to Bruce? I remember a lot of ideas thrown in on why Bruce is in that prison but it seems that the consensus now is that Bane imprisoned him?

i belive the rumor about the police hidding at the sewers. they filmed Bane's henchman firing at John Blake at the LA sewers. plus they filmed Gordon/police meeting with Batman on an ice river next to the sewers.

Funny I was just about to bring this up...

Guesses on where does this scene fit in? The underground sewers?

Notice the flare and the people with Gordon.

You're absolutely right. It just seems like the most probable right now

do you think they filmed the castle for the Ra's flashback? or will they use the castle as a location that is outside next to the well and unrerground ''prison''.

I think the Fort and the Prison are independent of each other.

I think we'll see Ra's entering the Fort in a Flash back and possibly Bruce entering in the current time. I don't know.

Fair enough, I respect your opinion. We'll find out in six months.

Maybe I need to play some catchup. It seems like people know a lot about the structure of the movie.
Where does all the certainty come from regarding a lot of these scenes?

What do we know about and how do we know the context of:

- The hospital scene, Bruce jumping out
- Bruce being "outed"
- The end conflict, with supposedly a bomb on a truck, Talia, the Batwing,
- Gotham being on lockdown.
- a sewer scene where Batman gets taken down.

What am I missing?
