we've already seen bruce yachting, who cares if he's at a freakin' football game.
Most of my Batman experience comes from The Animated Series, and I distinctly remember a villain's plot (I think it was Scarecrow) centered around a football game. There was a whole showdown with Batman in the catacombs of the stadium or something like that as I recall. From what I can remember it was pretty cool, actually.I never heard of or ever thought about sporting events taking place in a Batman Universe. Just like I never thought of skate parks, super markets, video stores or any other casual places like those being be shown in Batman films.

i feel like the people arguing against a football scene just don't like football or sports in general.
Is that a bad thing?
I think it needs a ping pong scene.
In Hongkong.
kinda. you're already criticizing a scene that you haven't even watched yet because it involves something else you don't like.
I'm talking about not liking football or sports in general.

I wouldn't mind a sequence like that in TDKR. A change of scenery is always nice, imo.
Ok, I get what your saying now. But it sounded like from your original post you didn't think a football team was possible in the Batman universe, but I seemed to have misunderstood what you meant. But it's easy to think of all of those things you described being in the Batuniverse. A city is going to have a variety of things, and I expect Gotham to be no different.

That's no different than saying it's wrong to look forward to a scene just because it involves something that they like.
Poignant and thought provoking.
