I'm all for a football game attack/batman exit. But if Batman goes to fight Bane on a football field, even my own beloved hometown football team's field, I might get sick. That sounds way too cliche' and childish for me.

Maybe Bane is an NFL football player using steroids, and Batman crashes the tumbler through the stadium just as he is about to make the last touchdown of his career, which would give him more career touchdowns than anyone and put him in the record books forever. The game is cancelled, and he never has a chance to redeem himself, so he starts taking massive amounts of a new steroid called "venom" and vows revenge on the man who kept him from fulfilling his destiny, and sets out to destroy Batmans career just as his own career was was destroyed.

That made me think of the Maximus vs Commodus fight from Gladiator except you know with Batman and Bane.

Perhaps at this point Bane has figured out Batman's identity and shows up while Bruce and Selina or Tate are at the game and threatens to blow it up. Though for some reason, I can't see Bane just doing a straight up threatening blow up. There would seem to be an underlying plan to it all. He's not just doing it like the Joker would. There has to be a plan involved. Who knows where this part takes place in the film. Depending on where it could mean a couple different things.

Didn't we hear Matthew Modine is filming for four months on this movie? That sounds like a big role. His Nixon character is supposed to be a villain, or at least some kind of antagonist.

Football games draw massive crowds, we're talking about a stadium full of civillians. Nolan may be using this as a setting for a particular threat, there aren't many other places in America where you will find such a huge amount of people in a small area.

I didn't take Modine's tweet to mean HE was shooting for four months but, that the film had four months of filming and he may be in various locations in the film which would require him to film off and and on for four months.

Four months of consecutive filming would put him in the film just as much as Bruce/Batman wouldn't it?

I'm wondering if the scene with Batman landing a plane on fire might be done on the road and then with CGI moved into the stadium. Now I don't know if it could even be done, or if the plane is too big to fit on the field, but it would make sense as to why Batman would need to land the burning plane.
