Christian Bale is Batman. Don't think an actor will top him, in films and outside of them.

That's up there with class as Ron Perlman dressing up as Hellboy for a boy's Make-A-Wish

Really cool of him to do that.

Side question - where do you guys think was the cutoff for the scripts that actors read? Nolan kept the ending under wraps even to principals like Oldman. I'm guessing the cutoff was at the moment after [blackout]Talia dies[/blackout].

I'm gonna say when Batman kicks Bane through the doors. That's before the major twist. Still can't believe Nolan couldn't film Talia walking down the stairs on a soundstage

Why in the world does Bruce not ask or care what the chant is about until he is about to leave? lol

I thought one of the "spies" said that the last scene of the movie would be an army of Batman, leaving it ambigous whether one of them was Wayne..the Bat signal would be lit than an army of Batman (all trained and led by Wayne and Blake) would stand to meet it all round the city rooftops.

I also remember a spy saying Bane's death would be when the people of Gotham turn against him and on Batman's side, he gets beaten to death by the public crowd.

Just got back from the swedish premier. I want to have sex with that ending. Hot, sweet, passionate sex with it.

Thank god the spy was wrong.

Both of those things just sound.... awful.

Has anyone listened to Kev Smith's two-parter smodcasts where he discusses Dark Knight Rises? Dude literally tears up and cries at several moments lol. I did too but it's just so funny to hear how passionate he is about the film.

I'm glad that didn't happen cos I would have been like:barf:

According to the novel for TDKR Bruce was imprisoned within the lazarus pit for a total of 197 days before he escaped.

I know this is probably a joke.. Or at least I hope. But please tell me the nit picking hasn't reached this level.

Yea, I'm jokingly nitpicking. I'm more surprised that the explanation wasn't cut :lmao:

I really love this art/making of book. I just took the sleeve cover off... :wow: so bad ass.

So awesome to see Bale go visit the victims. Now we need him to suit up as Batman and eliminate the WBC!

You want nitpicking? You've got it... two other jarring things about Mr. "Rise" Guy...

1. How the heck can Deshi Basara mean "Rise"? It's two words... and the chant goes "Deshi Deshi, Basara!" So are they going "Ri-Ri-Ise!"? :o

2. Why does Tom Conti switch his accent during the "Rise" line to an american one? That was probably the main thing that sparked the whole "inside/outside" Gotham Debate, the fact it looked like Bruce had a fellow american inmate with him. :p
