Did they even use the shot of Bruce jumping down the window shown in the trailer? I remember it looking different but I'm not sure...

You know... I love the IMAX but I feel a bit bitter if that's the reason why we got a lot of scenes cut out. :(
Yeah they showed it.

Speaking of Nolan and his cast... I laughed. Hard. :lmao:

Yeah, same here. That's the probably the quick cut/transition that I hated the most in the movie because I was looking forward to that scene since the teaser came out. It definitely lost the emotional impact because of how quick it was. Would've loved to have seen Bruce enter the window, freak Gordon out, see Gordon's reaction, etc. That was the first time Gordon has seen Batman in 8 years! We could've seen a huge moment in that scene.

If there is one complaint I have about this film, it's this. I expected so much more from this scene. The moment it cut to the hospital scene, I was like "What? It's happening so sudden?" There was no build up to this scene. I expected this to be the most emotional scene of the film, but it wasn't. It was even better paced in the teaser trailer. In the actual film, it happens so abruptly and then ends very abruptly.

As you said, I would have loved to have scene Bruce enter the room and see Gordon's reaction. I don't like how it jumps into the middle of the conversation basically. I expected A LOT more from this scene.

But this is still a great film. This once scene is really the only scene that let me down.

Edit: Crap, quoted the wrong person.

Yeah agreed. It's supposed to be a moment when 2 old friends meet again for the first time in 8 years and your supposed to feel something but because of the fast cutting it just comes and goes and doesn't breathe at all. It's not what I expected. Adding as much as 30 seconds to that scene could help.

Hot Toys Bat and Batpod with Batman/Catwoman together.

*drool*

Wow they even have the little backseat in the Bat so Selina can sit there. :wow:

I wonder what the exchange was between Gordon and Selina after Batman took off with the bomb.

"So, if we survive this are you going to stop burgling?"
"That depends if the people I targeted learn something from all this."

In the novelization, there isn't anything more to the Bruce/Gordon hospital meeting. Maybe there never was any more to it(I haven't seen the script yet though).

I always enjoyed this moment, so I'm glad it was referred to in TDKR. Very moving.

I agree, it was one of those touching moments in Begins, and just the reference to it when Gordon asked Batman who he was, almost brought a tear to my eye. It was also very reminiscent to how he revealed his identity in Begins to Rachel.

"A hero can be anyone, even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hasn't ended."

Top notch piece of dialogue.

For the record, I thought the scene where Batman saves Blake and fights the group of thigs showed how quickly Bale can move in the suit. That was pretty kickass compared to the slow punching scenes in TDK. IMHO, the fight scenes in TDKR were perfect.

My favorite scene in all of TDKR. That was one of my favorite scenes in Begins and I was dreaming of him referring to that exact instance if he ever decided to tell Gordon of his true identity.

I remember that I thought Gordon's scarf flapping in the wind was Batman's cape in that scene (from the trailer, based on it's velvety texture)...

Now THAT would have been full circle and a little awkward. Batman getting up and wrapping his cape around Gordon's shoulders. :funny:

The fanfic art would have been intense. :wow:
