Yeah, this whole topic is not really making much sense anymore.

I also dont see how Gothams look or music can be considered fan service. That's not what it means. Gothams look cant be anyway, because Burtons look for the city was always more fantastical than how it was presented in the comics.

Maybe that's the reason why Bane hated Batman so much? :hmm

Oh Bane, you so friend zoned....

Eugh... This cowl could look so damn ugly.

That gif should say, "follow your nose, it always knows!"

Damn... with that cover, you'd think it was Triple H under the mask. lol

"Bane, you're a solid B+ player and there's nothing wrong with that. My rogues gallery needs B+ players." :oldrazz:

Seriously though, whoever okay'd that promo pic should've lost their job, lol. I know some will disagree but the cowl never looked THAT atrocious to me in the movies. Even in the gifs above, it looks fine to me.

Why does Bale have his mouth open so often when wearing that cowl? Can he not breathe through the nose?

It looks like a blackbird mated with a lightbulb

Love the cowl in the movies but that empire cover is terrible.

You're right. That cover is really absurd. Not even remotely close to what the cowl actually looked like.

I figured Bale was going for a more winded and huffing on fumes approach for playing Batman in Rises, considering Bruce is out of his prime in the film. Bale never had his mouth open that frequently in TDK.

I LOVE that cowl. Oh well.

I quite like it too. I actually love the closeups of the cowl in TDKR.

Hearing the news about Aquaman being officially in the film not only made me appreciate the Nolan films more, but the Burton films too! Batman, on his own, set within Gotham; fighting his rogues gallery.....yeah, that's what I want to see.

Now come on Jack, we haven't seen the movie! I am not a fan of all these characters turning up but it could work.

After 2 Batman universes of him on his own I think it's time for him in a DC one.

I have to agree with Jack, it makes me appreciate Nolan more. But at the same time it has me more excited because it's just so different now. A batman that interacts with Aquaman!? Flash and Green Lantern?? It's nuts. I can't picture Bale's Batman with those characters. And that makes me happy that Nolan stuck to his guns, and that Snyder is taking it in a completely different direction. I dont want to see Batman repeating the same style over and over in the movies. So far they have kept it going, constantly moving forward.

The only thing I don't like is he is old and tired. Bad place to start a DCCU. For all the talk about being different, we got that in TDKR...

Eh, I will see it in theaters for sure, unless the trailers somehow look God awful. Perhaps if they gradually built up to a Justice League film without going for broke in the sequel to MOS; I'd probably be a bit more optimistic.

Time will tell though...

DC should just forget what Marvel is doing, don't play catch up.

I don't get why they don't just do a straight up MOS sequel. It has it's haters but MOS is a very popular film and this is comming from a guy who didn't like it.

Because it's still a business man. We dont live in 2005 anymore. We live in a time where shared universes are making a lot of money. If theyre not happy with MOS 100 percent (they're happy but not as ecstatic as they thought), then of course they're going to do what it takes.

Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and the return of the cast isn't going to get more people in the seats. It's been done over and over again. How do you market that and make it more interesting than the first movie? Batman meeting Superman for the first time is just smart and it works in context because it not only leads into a Justice League/spin-offs but they can do all the things they would do in a straight MOS sequel as well. Like Luthor, rebuilding of Metropolis, another physical Superman villain for Clark to fight.

They needed to add Batman or something new to the mix.
