This wouldn't be the case if Joker wasn't involved.

Of course. Domestic box office admissions:

  • 5 live action Batman movies excluding The Joker = Average 38 million tickets
  • 2 live action Batman movies including The Joker = Average 67 million tickets
The Clown Prince of Crime is almost as popular as Batman himself.

What do you guys think of the Bat cave? I personally wanted something more cave-y. Batfleck's cave resembles more a basement like Niteowl's. It's also relatively claustrophobic. Wish it was more spacey.

I like it. It looks like Bruce has been adding to it and upgrading it over the years, which makes sense because he's been at it for a relatively long time. It seems that there are different levels, rooms, and sections of equipment which is cool.

A bare bones cave setting wouldn't really be a logical design choice.

I agree and it looks like he may have a good amount of memorabilia from the Bat family and hopefully villains as well.

I think the cave is ok, its definitely not my favorite Batcave. It reminds me a lot of Tony Stark's work space in the movies.

Need to see more of it, and I think there will be more to it. Looks like what we've seen is mostly the work station area of the cave. We haven't seen exactly how big the cave is overall, where he keeps the vehicles, etc.

This is really off topic, but I thought of an idea that they could do for a movie someday.

Now, I doubt it would ever be considered or happen, but why don’t they make a movie in the eyes of a police officer in Gotham? It would be like a crime-drama and would show how bad Gotham really is, it wouldn’t matter who the officer is, but it would go through his/her career. I’m pretty sure this was done in BTAS, but I’d love to see it in live-action. Batman wouldn’t be in it though; he’d just make a few appearances like you’d see his shadow.

If they did want to base it on any officer we already know, they could choose Gordon, Montoya, or possibly Bullock.

The Gotham TV show is almost like that. Gordon's the main character in his rookie days.

Oh, one thing about the trailer I forgot to mention. I don't think Superman is holding back when he fights Batman, as most Supes fans tend to argue in "who would win?" debates. It looks like he pretty much tries to incinerate Bats with heat vision, unless that is some very deceptive editing.

Yeah unless it's Doomsday, it seems like Superman tries to kill Batman.

Yeah, that's what they want us to think for now anyway. If Lexcorp uses Zod's DNA to create some sort of Bizarro/Doomsday type of amalgam character that has the same powers, then I'll bet that's what's going on. But the way it's cut is pretty darn convincing.

Yes and it's a shame that he's one of the worst characters on that show. Has the personality of stale bread.

The cave looks like the TDK bunker mixed with the comics cavern...

Full of structure (stone/glass) but built into a cave and has a river.

Indeed. One of many reasons why I stopped watching the show. I bet the awful Barbara is still in it, too.

That sounds like a good combo.

That's exactly what it is.

I can almost guarantee that you'll see Batman fight Superman (the rain scene) during the middle or hell even before the 2nd act starts and then they'll get along and fight Lex and/or his plot device.

And then they both take Lois to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower.

Yeah it looks like all three are fighting the main villain...who or whatever it may be. (Doomsday, Lex's warsuit, Kalibak, ect)

I guess that's probably it. I'd almost rather believe there's a situation in this movie where Superman is pissed off enough at Batman to do that. It would level the playing field a bit and make Batman look less like the bully in the situation. They're already Bat-Godding him to the extent that he can hold his own with god-like beings, so it's fair play. Maybe Superman was just using intimidation and knew he'd be able to escape in the nick of time via CG his grapple gun. Guess I'm kind of dreading the finale.

Strange that you'd prefer Superman to be pissed to the point of trying to murder Batman -- exactly the kind of Superman characterization most people want this film to steer away from.

Also, I'm sorry to hear you are dreading the finale. It seems to be something many people are looking forward to and have only dreamed about up until now -- Superman and Batman fighting side-by-side for the first time, with Wonder Woman in tow.
