Yeah I remember the line, and the scene, but I don't recall him stabbing him. I thought he was hitting him in the same sensitive spot where he stabbed him with his shoe knife earlier in the Penthouse party scene, hence why he called it an old familiar place;

It looked like he was still beating him with the metal bar, not stabbing him with a knife. I never saw him pull a knife out during this confrontation.

Btw anyone know why Vulture was banned?

I seem to remember it, however my memory tends to be pretty awful so. I need to rewatch it sometime soon. Sorry for the mistake then. :)

Just remembered that The Dark Knight Rises turned 3 today.

Happy Birthday, TDKR.

Yeah but that would still mean the end of Batman if he unmasked himself and everyone knew who he was. Compare that to later in the movie when he stops Reese from revealing Batman's identity because a world without Batman to him would be so boring.

That's true. It's the only instance of character progression he has in the story. I guess at the end of the day his love of just screwing things up for everyone takes precedence over everything else.

And happy birthday to Rises. The only good superhero threequel in the only fully successful superhero trilogy. It might actually end up being the closest thing we'll ever get to a conclusion in a superhero movie series. For the most part trilogies have gone extinct and with them the idea that these stories can and arguably should be told in a finite, cohesive package.

I have a little hope we may still get some from WB. I could see Suicide Squad, which likely doesn't need to build up to much in the overall universe apart from exploring different corners of it, getting a somewhat contained trilogy.

Happy belated Birthday to TDKR! I actually saw the film on the 21st; back in 2012. Good times.

Belated Happy Birthday, TDKR. Still the third best Batman movie.

Yes, Happy Birthday, I will never feel you in my bones and stuff.

Ever.

"Three years, and the ache is still fresh. Like a raw, angry nerve. Three years since all sense left my life."

This movie, where I learned the truth about despair, as will you. There's a reason why this movie is the most boring Batman film on earth... Hope. Every man who has ventured here over the past three years has watched the screen and imagined a better sequel. So easy... So simple... And like shipwrecked men turning to sea water from uncontrollable thirst, many have fallen asleep trying. I learned here that there can be no true despair without hope. So, as I bore fans, I will feed them hope. I will let them believe they like the film so that you can watch them clamoring over each other to defend its storyline. You can watch me bore an entire fanbase and when you have truly understood the depth of your boredom, we will fulfill David Goyer's destiny... We will end this trilogy and then, when it is done and the Nolanverse is ashes, then you have my permission to watch Batman vs. Superman

(okay, maybe a bit harsh, I like about thirty minutes of this film... happy birthday, TDKR! )

I love the film, but I have to admit this made me laugh. :funny:

Yeah I have to admit, Phantasm, that was both creative and funny. Not to mention original. No offense to you, Trav, but there's only so many times I can laugh at the bones line, but that doesn't mean you should ever stop using it. It's your thing ;)

The bones line was never meant to make anybody laugh. :funny:

That's alright then, because it did stop being amusing about 2 years ago.

It was meant to be hacky and annoying from day one. That was the point. :funny:

You're saying it's deliberately meant to be annoying. Well I'd never have guessed :hmm :cwink:

Well played, kind sir.
