New Line has revealed the new trailer for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, hitting theaters on October 6! You can watch the trailer in High Definition QuickTime here and between the hours of 10pm and 4am in regular QuickTime formats here!

The film's official website has also updated with wallpapers, the history and new photos.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the horror-thriller stars Jordana Brewster, Andrew Bryniarski, R. Lee Ermey, Taylor Handley, Matthew Bomer, Diora Baird, Heather Kafka, Marietta Marich and Terrence Evans.

The origins of the legendary horror character Leatherface will be revealed in the film, set years before the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movie

Dang I thought the Michael Bay film would be the last of the TCM.

I love ogling hot chicks, but I find the horror movies to be less believable and therefore less scary when they star hot chicks.
Plain-looking victims please. kthx

Prequel = Bad idea.

It'll either be a sleeper hit or a box office disaster.

:(

Will be worth it for R. Lee Ermey alone.

He was born to play a psycho, small town sheriff!

It will make money. Thats not saying it will be bad or good. And why the hell can you only view at a certain time??

advertising, theyre trying to make it scarier by making you watch it late at night

Well I just saw it and it looks like the last movie over again. Hot teens meet Leatherface. Bleh.

You can't really see leatherface really well but it almost looks like they give him a mallet(spelling) you no that hair do macgiver has. Sorry its late I can't spell really well when its late.

Looks as good, if not the same, as the first...Meaning just alright...Eh. I'll save my money on this one. Catch it on Cinemax or something.

It costs around $10 mill and it's a big named property, so it'd be tough for it to be anything even close to a box office disaster.

For some stupid reason, everybody loved the remake, so they will all flock to the theaters to see this.

Moreover since pretty much all the main characters from the remake are in here.

But anyway, aren't you interested about knowing the origin and backstory behind those characters?

How did the sheriff meet the rest of the characters? How did that guy lose his legs? Why was the one kid from Leatherface's family so screwed up? What's exactly, is Remake Leatherface's backstory?

What crap is that all about though. The trailers only available between 10 and 4?

I just noticed something at the end of the trailer in the credits. Didn't Tobe Hooper say he wasn't happy about them remaking the first one? Its got that he's a producer on this one.

I agree with Wilhelm, I'm tired of these ridiculously good-looking, stone-faced victims. What made the original so scary was that the people seemed so real and down-to-earth and ordinary, making the horrors more... uhh... horrofic.

I'm interested. I didn't like the remake when I first watched it, but after several viewings I think it's one of the few good remakes that are done nowadays. I probably won't see it in theaters, but I'll more than likely rent it and if I like it, buy it.

In the remake there weren't too many good looking people. Only good looking one was Jessica Biel, everyone else looked like they were hit by a truck though.

I enjoyed the remake and I definitely plan on seeing the prequel.

oh god, didnt they bastardize enough with the remake...

Nope, because the remake was a very good movie and was more scarier than these recent remakes.

Want to know about bastardized versions? Look no further than The Fog, The Omen, and When A Stranger Calls.

...Omittyville Horror??? but to call you out on 'the omen', i spoke to a critic who saw the sneak preview and he said it's practically a shot for shot remake, just w/updated effects and subpar to okay acting....okay, bastardized.
