So someone isn't allowed to love TASM so much that watching SM1 just isn't the same for them?

I'll try not to like Rises too much lol.

I never said that. :argh:

:oldrazz:

To each their own, I suppose.

@Yurka:

Naw, last night electrical volts shot out of my backyard canal. It felt Terminator-ish, and I was like '**** that! I ain't keeping it real!'

Doom, you better look out for naked men/women suddenly wandering around your area. :wow:

What?? Like, bolts of electricity shot up from the water? Oh **** that. I'm terrified of **** in the water as is. Good call getting out of there.

Too many people stick around, thinking crazy **** is "nothing", then wind up getting eaten or murdered....at least that's what movies tell us. Still though, I'd have been out of there too.

I always do the Terminator arrival scene in the shower.

This is hysterical because this isn't the first time you've said this. :lmao:

That time it was random and ignored, this time its relevant.

Kinda :oldrazz: that was like 4 months ago lol..good memory.

I will but first I'll ask him or her how TDKR preformed. Then I'm outta there!

Precisely. I upheld one of the oldest and noblest traditions from my karate classes (from when I was a kid)... run away when outmatched. And watching a ton Sci-Fi and Horror films helped too.

For Shiva's sake, I was watching Independence Day last night.

Everything's so beautiful in Batman Returns :hrt:

:funny:

Can you at least let us know if they've arrived? We need to run and take cover too! :wow:

"I don't like it when people get overly hyperbolic with their praise. It's ok to say "I enjoyed this more than Raimi's," but if you say, "OMGGGG I can't even watch Raimi's anymore!!!!1111," that goes into borderline trolling"

REALLY Slim Shady??? So if somebody says this about Donners Superman and Henry Cavill after enjoying Man Of Steel, then they're a troll?? If somebody loves Scarface with Pacino and says they cant even watch the original from the 40s or 50s or whenever...then theyre a troll? You sound ridiculous.

I was a hater of many things leading into Amazing Spidey. I enjoyed the first one when i saw it ten years ago but it hasnt aged well to me. I prefer Spider-Man 2. But The Amazing Spider-Man took me by surprise when i saw it the other night. Garfield (not just my opinion, all of my friends) to me IS Peter Parker in look and acting. He's the wise-ass Spiderman of the comics. These are things that Tobey Maguire couldn't pull off, whether u have a soft-spot for the older movies or not. Maguire didnt look like Parker. And he certainly didnt act like the spiderman that i grew up with. The suit was cool, that was it. You'll see when you watch the movie...Garfield does a great performance. The emotional scenes are better executed than Tobeys.

If you don't agree with at least THAT (because if u dont enjoy the writing of the last part then thats fine thats ur opinion) after watching TAMS then you either are in denial cuz u cant let go of ur nostalgia for a 2002 movie. Or you simply don't know the character very well and ur stuck in a Sam Raimi world of fantasy.

I can't believe 2012 is at the halfway point, last year around this time I think I've watched a lot more films.

:hehe:

No joke though. Last night was freaky as hell. Something definitely came out of my canal and it sounded like it hovered for a bit before it took off.

:lmao:

Thanks for that. I needed a laugh.

Obviously you're entitled to your own opinion. If you find Raimi's films to be unwatchable after this, that's wonderful. Bully for you.

But continually stating it as fact as you've just done in that post and saying that anyone who didn't agree with those points is "in denial" is the most hilariously stupid thing I've read all day. Thanks, man. I owe you one.

Okay, slim, now those sentences you highlighted from that post you quote - I think that's obvious hyperbolic trash.

Yeah, I mean I acknowledge that obviously people are entitled to their opinions and if they find something to be unwatchable after seeing a new iteration, that's wonderful for them. But he just proved my point.

EDIT: And so it goes in the sig.

I agree. Those last words proved your point.

It doesnt mean u cant enjoy Tobeys take on the character. Everyones entitled to their opinion. Im saying if you cant agree (after watching it) than Garfield looks much more like Parker from the comics than Maguire did and that as Spider-Man he acts more of the wise-ass that he is from the comics more than Maguire. Then yes, i dont care what you say, you're like one of the Burton fanboys, u ARE in a mindset where u cant open ur mind because the older movies have been a huge part of ur life. I dont care what you say or what you love about Spiderman 1 , 2 or 3. You can like those movies more than the new one. But Tobey Maguire was NOT the best adaptation of Peter Parker or Spider-Man and the acting in that first movie wasn't the greatest. It can be topped and done much more like the comics. And Andrew Garfield is a far greater version of the character. You sound like a nostalgic person who is too stubborn to accept that there can be a better Bruce Wayne just because you're in love with Michael Keatons portrayel.

Now for my opinion only. Spider-Man 3 is now the equivalent to a Batman Forever or Batman & Robin when looking at this new flick.
