The hell??? There's a post going around Tumblr that

a cam version of the movie leaked.

God I hope that's not true.

I doubt it, usually when a film is near their release date you get phony torrents/download links and it usually shows up as a virus or a different film altogether.

I hope you guys are right. Because that happening will be a disaster on WB's part. I just can't imagine it being true! The one who posted it is not a troll but I can see her/him being fooled.

I don't see why a leak would be a disaster. It's not like some lousy cam verison would turn away viewers.

A HD high quality version would maybe be a problem but some half-a-- bootleg?

That's only a problem for spoilers.

Tesla wasn't a con artist!

I only have my phone to watch it on lol..but I'll start in like 5 minutes.

I meant the people sending the spam not Tesla.

PM your thoughts on AJ's craycray

I say disaster because people would be leaking spoilers left and right. And it's not just right for a movie like this to be seen in a camera version for the first time (for those that will watch it).

I can't disagree with that. But as long as it doesn't hurt the film financially, I'm not bugged.

It's not like anyone here would watch it, right? Plot spoilers don't bug me much cause I don't know if they're true and there's a difference between reading and seeing, but a cam bootleg? That's a serious spoiler.

Yeah, I change my mind-- this would be terrible for WB

ANYONE who's already seen it would have had to hand in all phones, etc. Those stories of WB people wearing nightvision goggles during the prologue showings..nah..its a fake.

That makes more sense :oldrazz:

About to start..now.

Yep. I should have waited for TASM on DVD.

6.8/10

If it's around a 6 or 7 for me, it will definitely be worth seeing in cinema. You don't think a good film you obviously enjoyed some, is worth seeing on the big screen? Unless you have some super-home-cinema system. :)

I got a Visa offer for 2 for the price of 1 Spidey tickets. It can't be that bad for me not to take that offer right?

6,8 out of 10 is good in my book.

That's a D+.
Then your score should be higher. 6.8/10 is 68%- a D. That's below average. I wouldn't give that score to any movie I thought was good.

Plus the comment that he should have waited for it on DVD isn't very encouraging.

I want to know his more in-depth thoughts as we were both pretty like-minded with our expectations/thoughts. That is, Andrew Garfield's delivery is annoying and he wasn't the best pick for Spidey.

Well, then I have a different rating system. And below average from what? One can only rate that from his/hers own average right?

A totally subjective average would be a 5, wouldn't it? 5 is Mediocre for me, 6 is Fairly Good, 7 is Good. :)

Maybe I should make a personal rating explanation under my ratings. :hehe:

Ah I see.
A score like that hardly seems to be "showing the Raimi films how it's meant to be done".

Did someone really say that?

Because this film has a 14% lower rating on RT than SM1 (75% versus 89%). Not that that matters to some of you here, but obviously this film isn't exactly "amazing" or better than Raimi. My expectations are low.

Further thoughts?

That's not a very good score.

Where to start...

Okay, well, I disliked the 'new' origin (the obvious), Garfield's execution irked me all film long, The Lizard was a huge missed opportunity (hated the design and lack of development), the CGI was a bit iffy, the cheesy scenes and dialogue were off-balancing, the Raimi borrowing, and weird 'emo' tone that loomed throughout the film.

Ah ****. Those are all things that would bother me.

So definitely not even on level with SM1 then?

I mean, did you like Raimi's films?

Well, there was a Raimi bashing vibe when the reboot was announced. According to some, it was easily going to blow Raimi out of the water in all areas.
:lmao:

Well, I love Raimi's films, so for me, that was never the expectation.

A 6.8/10 can still be good lol. Generally for me anything above 5/10 is in the better half of the rating scale.

I never said that. :) Just that if I think a movie is good, I rate it a 7. Good, not great or fantastic.

Also, personally I don't think any Raimi Spider-Man movie is great either.

I also haven't seen TASM yet, will tomorrow!
