I did see the first Twilight and while it wasn't quite the trainwreck I was expecting, it was still incredibly dull. And I heard the books get worse, so my desire to see the remaining three movies is in the negative zone.

to be honest..the movies just look amateur. the only professional looking thing in the trailer was the wolf. i will never see a twilight movie..but judging from the trailers, it just looks awful and very unprofessional.

no. this concept is stupid IMO. You hate a movie...fine. voice your opinion and then be done with it. but to make a thread about the movie you hate? seems like you care an awful lot about something you don't care for in the first place...

so how many books does this twilight series have? if the books get worse..and i hear the first movie wasn't good..how can the movies be good?

I didn't care much for the film, but it isn't because the vampires sparkle, or something like that. It's all fiction, so they can go whatever way they want to go with it. My problem with it was how unbearably cheesy and melodramatic the film was. I think the entire film was cringe-worthy for me.

Then again, I'm definitely not in the target demographic for the film/books, so I don't question its success, either.

i still think it's weird for grown men and women to dislike a franchise made for preteen girls. Isn't that weird? And like what Kevin Smith said, disliking Twilight with a blind passion is like a guy dressed up as Spock making fun of a guy dressed up as Chewbacca at the 1978 Comic Con.

Haven't seen the movie so I can't say that it sucks. Don't plan to. Really don't care for this franchise. But it's fanbase pisses me off.
