The Twists and Turns.

During the Thanksgiving Day special of SM2. Tobey Maguire said there will be so many Twists and Turns. This leaves me wondering what other twists we get in the movie. We know of the Sandman/Uncle Ben thing that leaves everyone wondering what will become of it.

There is also talk of Dreams and Hallucinations that will happen, and they will throw us off guard. Judging by the trailer, we get the will it happen or will it not happen theme. Like Pete throwing the Pumpkin Bomb at Harry.

So what do you guys think of this? Are we going to get these huge surprises through out the movie ? If so, what do you think they will be?

It's possible that dark spider-man did something to make it look like flint was the killer so that spider-man would want revenge.

Honestly, form the poster of Sandman protecting his daughter, I'm thinking that spiderman just about goes eye-for-an-eye with the symbiote taking over.

I don't think Tobey was referring to the people like us, who keeps themselves constantly informed about the movie; I think he was tryng to give some informations to all the ones who doesn't care too much and were just watching Spiderman 2! Anyway, there could be something true in his words, but maybe it is not something relevant for us

Even still though...I could see a LOT of predictions of the events here being totally screwed up by a dream sequence....

I could defineatly see a scene where pete was doing something he would never...like pumpkin bomb harry for instance....and everyone being shocked in the theater...then pete wakes up...it was the suit effecting his head...

This is quite an interesting theory. It is possible Eddie Brock could cause this problem in the first place to get back at Peter.

But to us who have read the Q&A, script summaries and matched them to every frame of the trailer, teaser, leaked footage and comic-con, and listened to the comic-con interviews, etc.....no twists and turns. Sorry. We pretty much know exactly how the movie plays out now except fora few details though.

thanks...who knows what raimi could throw at us...and brock could be very underhanded - we would see him acting in an evil way even before he goes venomish!

I really hope the "twist" in this is one of the two:

1. Eddie either is or was previously dating Gwen. So he probably knew Captain Stacy, and vice-versa. Perhaps Captain Stacy came to see Eddie as a trustworthy man while he was with Gwen. So when he sees the story, he knows it was done by Eddie, so he kinda accepts it as truth. Then tells Peter and May. Pretty much a case of mistaken identity.

2. Here I'm assuming Spidey got his *** handed to him by Sandman before he got the suit. The Symbiote, while on him can surely see things Peter has seen and go through his memory. So the Symbiote warps his perception of who killed Ben so Spidey can beat Marko.

Whatever happens, I hope Mr. Raimi doesn't retcon the first flick. But I won't loose any sleep over it.

Also when Aunt May's talking to him about revenge he doesn't look like he has the symbiote on him yet either. So the symbiote dream theory really doesn't make much sense to me.

I think one twist will probably be Harry saving Peter at the end during battle royale.

harry saving peter at the battle royal was a twist i was thinking about to, harry must help peter at the final battle and right befor harry dies he will become friends with harry again, i think thats what will happen [thats what the script summary said, most of the things that was said in the script summary are true], i think its a really good idea for that to happen because harry and peter were friends but after harry found out peter killed his father he didnt want to be friends with peter, it stays very close to the comics, the fight will probably start off, venom, sandman vs. spidey, then during the fight harry shows up and starts throwing pumpkin bombs at venom i think.
