This is it, the poll to end all polls. You the readers of Marvel must decide and review just how good or bad Marvel did this year. Before voting and posting reviews keep these things in mind:

1. Overall perfromance, take into account every bad book and every good book.

2. Did the good outweight the bad or vice versa?

3. The writing and art of all Marvel books you have read.

4. The big events, and how they succeeded or failed.

Now vote my children and be one with God.

I also forgot to add to judge the books, not the people. For example, don't vote for Poor because you hate Bendis, or because Joe Quesada is an *******, its on the merits of the books themselves.

This year has definitely been way above average. I wouldn't go so far as say the best year ever...but, it's close. Probably, the one thing that ruins current year outputs with year's previous is stuff like the Internet and Wizard magazine. When I was just a wee lad, I had to go down to the local 7-11 to get my new books, and I had no idea what was coming with each issue. Now, we already basically know where Civil War is headed, as World War Hulk has been planned for about a year and a half now and Marvel is already talking about Silent War.

I can honestly say I've read every single comic that Marvel has put out this year; and, I can pretty much say the same for many, many years previous. The amount of total crap books is so much less than the year previous, where we saw junk like Megamorphs. I think Marvel really wanted to put out quality this year, and to me, it showed.

I think it's been average...for every great and fantastic book out there, there has been some garbage put out.

Annihilation
Uncanny X-Men
X-Men
Beyond!
Bits and pieces of Civil War

These have been my highlights for this year.

I voted poor, but then I thought about it and rather think that it was average.

Let that be a lesson to all you hasty mofos.

I thought they did... Marvelous this year *sigh*

No, but on the real, I think they did way better--MORE FANTASTIC--than last year. Go marvel:up:

Answer- "Good-Above Average, but not penis pumping worthy"

Hey, it still involved the term "Penis Pumping."

Yes but I thought about it really quickly:(.

I voted Above average, when I take a look at all the crap and all the books on my pull list, based on what ive read and all, its been a great year.

Marvel Comics
Daredevil-Great book
Captain America-Consistenly awesome
Young Avengers-What we got was great
Civil War-Entertaining, heavily flawed
Civil War: Frontline-Better than the main book IMO, still flawed
She-Hulk-Great book
Squadron Supreme-Mediocre at best
Annihilation-Kick ass!
Union Jack-Really good
Ms. Marvel-Good
Moon Knight-Ass kicking great
X-Factor-Best book on the stands
Astonishing X-Men-Disappointing but still great
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man-Good
Eternals-Great mini
Incredible Hulk-Kick Ass
Fantastic Four-Pretty good
Criminal-Awesome
Dr. Strange: The Oath-Delightfully awesome
The Immortal Iron Fist-Pwnage.

It's been a great year for Marvel. Nearly every title is experiencing a renaissance. I have spent more this year on Marvel titles than nearly every year combined, and not just because of that little war going on. Here are the highlights of a year of highlights:

Marvel Zombies -- guilty pleasure through and through. The world eater gets eaten! Brilliant. And Spidey's guilt over eating Aunt May and Mary Jane was priceless.

Annihilation -- A fantastic cosmic Marvel story, who would have guessed?

Planet Hulk -- and a Hulk story that deserves to be called Incredible.

Doctor Strange, The Oath -- Damn is it good.

Daredevil -- nearly eclipsed Born Again until Brubaker let him out of prison. <sigh>

Civil War -- regardless of any fanboy complaint anyone may have about it, it's kept us engaged. The big shocker I think is going to be how permanent these ramifications are forever going to be.

I have a feeling Killgore is going to be killed.

Jamie is one of my favorite x-characters. Good job:down

good job... it's kool... Are you alright? I already said this.

A good year, overall. Title-by-title review:

Astonishing X-Men - slow as frozen molasses, but the story, when evaluated on its own, was good.

Captain America - consistently excellent.

Civil War - it has flaws, but it has been consistently entertaining.

Civil War: Iron Man - the first tie-in was so-so, the second was excellent.

Civil War: Ms. Marvel - deserves note as one of the best treatments of the Pro-Reg team.

Civil War: Front Line - engaging, some parts rather irrelevant (the ends, specifically). A good supplement.

New X-Men - one of the most interesting reads of the year.

Uncanny X-Men - another good Brubaker title; a bit slow at moments, and not up to Captain America levels, but it's promising.

X-Factor - funny and well-written. I'm not sure if I'll stick with it for the long-term, though.

Since this is the year I started buying comic books again (Marvel's actually gotten me interested again) I am giving it an above average. I have been perusing for the past 5 years but I am really anticipating storylines again. I am still so and so with the Spider-man reveal and Ultimate Spidey had its ups and down but Spider-man: Reign thus far puts Marvel above average.

I really, really liked it.

Really.

I give it an average. There was some really great stuff. Brubaker's work. Civil War is an entertaining read. Annihilation is awesomeness! The staleness of the Spider-Man and X-Men lines is finally going away.

But I really don't like how Marvel treated Iron Man and the Fantastic Four this year. Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic are being fascistic jackasses in the main Civil War event, Front Line, the Amazing Spider-Man, and Black Panther. Invisible Woman is acting like an idiot in Iron Man.

Also the Ultimate Universe is going way down hill. I really don't see it lasting more than 5 years now. It all depends on how Loeb will do on the Ultimates 3 & 4, and who will succeed Bendis on Ultimate Spider-Man.

I voted Good-Above Average

Marvel Comics
Daredevil-It's like crack! I can't not buy it.
Captain America-Cap has never been this good!
Young Avengers-What we got was great. Ditto!
Civil War-I hate it and love it at the same time.
Civil War: Frontline-Not impressed, but it has it's high points.
She-Hulk-Everybody knows I'm a Dan Slott Fanatic so take a guess...
Squadron Supreme-Boring and sad.
Annihilation-Kick ass!
Union Jack-Really good
Moon Knight-It's growing on me, I still don't like the pacing, but it's still great.
X-Factor-I like everything except the Layla Miller kid.
Astonishing X-Men-Disappointing but still great.
Eternals-Underwhelming.
Incredible Hulk-Kick Ass
Fantastic Four-Hate it and McKones art sucks.
Criminal-Only read the first issue, I like it so far.
Dr. Strange: The Oath-Delightfully awesome
The Immortal Iron Fist-Pwnage.
Ultimates-I'm still reading it, not by choice just a need to finish the story.

How did it go downhill? I mean, UXM has always been pretty crappy, but while it's not good any longer, UFF had an utterly fantastic run done by Millar and Land earlier this year. And, of course, Ultimates is always great (IMO:o), and sells fantastically. The only thing that really went downhill in quality is USM, and that's rebounded before (IE, Carnage arc:o).

Oh, and despite the Invisible Woman's characterization, the Iron Man title has been pretty awesome all year, IMO, at least - and Tony was even totally likable (at least until the Civil War arc).
