The Ultimate College Football Thread!!!!!!!!! OMG - - Part 2

The pressure is on Penn State to win a high-stakes game since they failed to prevail vs a solid Ohio State team despite keeping it an entertaining close game.
Oregon is a Royal Flush much like the 2010 Oregon team that reached a National Championship game, that is why I'm predicting Oregon executes more great plays in an entertaining competitive game.

If Penn State really has improved after the disappointing defeat to a solid Ohio State team, then they'll find a way to upset Oregon instead of just remaining in the common fruitless area of keeping the game close vs. a heavyweight team. However, they failed to close.
Dillon Gabriel is similar to Marcus Mariota, so realistically, he can be a solid dual threat that is too much for the Nittany Lions to overcome today. It's achievable for the Nittany Lions to keep it a close game, and there is a realistic chance of them upsetting Oregon in the fourth Quarter.
James Franklin at Penn State:

• 1-14 vs. top 5 opponents
• 3-19 vs. top 10 opponents
• 13-28 vs. top 25 opponents
• 4-17 vs. Michigan and Ohio State

Yet the media will continue to hail them as the next big thing waiting to happen.

It's completely unsurprising that Notre Dame outplayed Indiana because Notre Dame is a better team than Indiana, they had home-field advantage, and they put Indiana in a deficit that they could not overcome.
What is surprising is Notre Dame made the high-scoring Indiana offense very ineffective since they didn't get close to scoring over 40 points.
They finally started scoring touchdowns late in the game.

I am being a realistic optimistic Vols Fan because the Vols have a realistic chance to defeat the Buckeyes in a challenging road game, however I also know the realistic disappointing outcome of Ohio State outplaying Tennessee can also happen.
I predict the Vols defeat the Buckeyes 31-24 because the Vols make less mistakes, the Vols succeed with great blocking making it very likely for the Vols to succeed with being able to run the football with Sampson, and Nico having time to throw the football.

The other 2 College Football Playoff games today should be thrilling games.

Most likely the Buckeyes fans that were demanding the fire of Coach Day after the Buckeyes lost to the Wolverines have swallowed their pride, and admitted that would be extremely stupid after seeing the fruitful results during the 12-team Playoffs.
Also, who exactly is worth hiring to replace him?

Nittany Lions fans finally got to see high-bar fruitful results because the Nittany Lions have won multiple games in the 12-team playoffs, However, it's going to be the very high bar challenge for the Nittany Lions to find ways to close instead of choke to defeat the Fighting Irish.
Nittany Lions fans who are realistic are fearful of disappointment because that's what they've seen mostly when the Nittany Lions playing heavyweight teams.

And I'm not above admitting that it's going to be funny that the CFB decided to give conference champions Boise State and ASU the 3 and 4 seeds and will be rewarded when they both get blown out

Let's see what @Babillygunn thinks about this one.

I'm surprised this didn't get used in the Fantasy Football thread. :funny:

Congrats to Ohio State for their 9th National Title in school history, the first winner of the 12 team tournament and also the first winner of the 4 team tournament. Notre Dame played a great game, especially in the 2nd half.
I live in Columbus and am a life long Buckeye fan and have experienced 3 national titles (2002,2014,2024) and people here are thrilled with the victory, we should win another in 2034, lol
