The Ultimate DC/Marvel Tournament - Part 7

I cannot be unbiased in this one, as Icon is just an awesome character. Annihilus may be able to take him in battle, but I cannot help but think that somehow, Icon will find a way to emerge victorious here.

Before I move on, do you have any opinion on this one @Rozen Thorne ?

The next battle will be more street level.

I've not read much of Annihilus combat without the Rod so I really couldn't determine power levels between the two, and I've heard of Icon but never seen any of his feats, I must bow out and let more knowledgeable gentlemen conclude this fight.

We'll call it a draw for now, as I don't care to be the deciding vote. This one will be run back in the future. For what is worth I asked Chat Gpt and the gave the slight edge to Annihilus for the same reason Messiah Decoy did. The rod.

I have a scenario for this next one

A string of unsolved robberies is plaguing Bludhaven, drawing the attention of Dick Grayson. While investigating, he locates a bar where he believes the thieves are convening. As he watches from a nearby rooftop there's a small explosion that comes from the bar. A man flees and as Nightwing he chases after the culprit.

Nightwing

Vs

Gambit

I think I saw this one on Superhero Beatdown. Lol.

This one is Nightwing and it ain’t even close. He is too fast, too agile, and too intelligent. I think he can avoid Gambit’s energy bursts and takes this one in the hand to hand.

One of my favorite comics fights was the time that Nightwing and Batman were training and they stopped pulling punches and went all out. Nightwing beat Batman one on one but not before they basically destroyed the Batcave. IMG_5356.jpegIMG_5355.jpegIMG_5354.jpeg

Nice match up.

I think agility gives Gambit the edge as it's one of his mutant abilities.

Gambit would win easily with more than 8 feet between them thank to his projectiles. The problem for Gambit is Nightwing would figure that out quickly and close the distance between them.

Once up close Nightwing easily outmatches Gambit. Nightwing needs top tier hand to hand combat skills to routinely defeat metahumans.

I love Gambit but this match goes to Nightwing.

These are awesome pages. I've never seen them. Thank you.

This is my favorite X Man and my favorite member of the Bat family.

I'm going to have to check out Superhero Beatdown

15-20 years ago I would say Gambit and easily, but times change and characters evolve, now Nightwing is a proven leader & tactician out thinking opponents is what he excels at, I'd say at this point Nightwing is a better version of Batman. It won't be quick or easy but the edge goes to the former Boy Wonder.

Katana

Vs

Colleen Wing

They're equal in skill but Colleen has some chi-enhanced abilities so I'll give her the slight win 5.5/10 in this fight.

I have agree. Colleen is not only smart and strong she's also somewhat invulnerable so if she gets sliced she can bounce back easily.

Nice takes :). I made this match because I rate Katana a bit higher with the blade, and Colleen better at h2h. She has some chi, and the Soul Taker is a unique sword for Tatsu.

I can be convinced either way. Right now you're both doing a good job of making me lean towards Colleen

I lean toward Colleen. Katana’s sword is creepy interesting. But I’ve never understood how that gives her an advantage beyond just raising the stakes a bit.

I always imagined the sword could talk to her the way Lion O's sword of omens does with past wielders advising her.

Anyway Colleen defeats her opponent. Recognizing the skill of her downed foe she finds a new training partner.

Next up.

Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze)

Vs

John Constantine

Ghost Rider doesn't measure up to the foes Constantine has defeated. I think John could trick, trap or banish Ghost Rider fairly easily.

Zarathos can be deceived and tricked and that's what John does best, there wouldn't even be a fight just some spirited banter and confusion of the highest order.

Yeah. I go with the trickster, himself. Constantine.

This battle ends with Zarathos banished to the Shadow Realm wondering how he wound up in the Yugiverse with his essence attached to a playing card.

Now we have Marvels Ares

Vs

Aquaman

My knee jerk reaction was to give Ares the win away from water but then I discovered Aquaman lifts above 100 tons and Ares maxes out at 70 tons.

I'll provide 3 scenarios...

1) Near water - Aquaman wins

2) Hand to Hand - Aquaman wins

3) Armed combat - Ares wins

Aquaman wins 2 out of 3, so I give him the overall victory.

Honestly before reading your post and later going to the Marvel site, I always thought Ares was in the 100 ton strength class.

I like your breakdowns though.

I think the hands to hand would pretty awesome, though.
