J'onn post up sometime today. Also, Trusty, since I'm trying to limit myself at the moment, I won't be applying for Aquaman. If he's still available when I'm ready to be "full-time" again, I will, but you or anyone else is free to pick him up.

Ok, so I'm still not entirely sold on Starman, but to help me decide:

Is there an older generation of heroes? Was there a JSA?

If so, then I'll make Ted Knight the Golden Age Starman. If not, then I'll make Ted Knight just a regular war hero.

The JSA did exsist and fought in WW2, although the public was not informed of their exsistence. DC produced comic books based on the heroes to throw people off the trail.

Not that I have anything against what Lex is doing, but why did both he and Giganta (and seemingly the press) have no idea where Superman was? Interestingly enough, especially after Giganta specifically pointed out that she knew that he was preoccupied with Blackrock:

GIGANTA!

Doris enters the heart of downtown Metropolis and sees Superman in combat over the city.

Well looks like the Man of Steel is a bit busy...I don't care...it's time for the world to meet the new girl in town.

With that she grows to 75 feet tall and says, "Hello Metropolis meet your new Queen!"

Giganta begins walking through the city crushing the pavement and cars beneath her.

And then magically forgot about Superman being busy...?

Giganta begins throwing random cars around and says, "Come on Superman, where are you, it's time for you to meet your end. Come out and I'll make it quick!"

She then throws a tanker-truck into the bay.

...which is a trend that seems to have passed onto Luthor. Now, I know Lex never witnessed Superman's fight like Doris did, but shouldn't he (and everyone else) have heard about it on the news the same way he heard about Giganta's rampage?

Luthor's using that as ammunition against Superman; I made sure to point out that Luthor knew Supes was already fighting, but the fact that he wasn't there in time to stop Giganta was something that Lex could spin to his own means.

But shouldn't the press have pointed that out to him as any journalist would have? I mean, I'm cool with Lex spinning that off however he wants, but any reporter would have at least brought up the fact that Supes was already fighting another menace who had much greater destructive potential than Giganta.

And as for Giganta forgetting... guh?

I suppose, but A) ya never mentioned the press being around to see the fight with Blackrock, and B) something like two different superhero/villain fights breaking out at once would likely cause a jumble in the media as they try and keep things straight. I think it'd be forgiveable if the press is a little late on the punch.

But Blackrock took over the airwaves and challenged Superman to a fight. So how would the press not know about it, in any reasonable sense?
