Venom160 said:Also iv been thinking and we definatly need more characters (x-men and x-men villains in particular) so I was thinking about talking to Spidey 9X17 again about allowing players to play as a third character. What do you guys think?
Feature said:I think it would be alright for people to play as three characters, but that's not this RPG's problem. There are really only a couple of people who even post, (Me, Venom, Byrd, Guitar, Cyrus, Noon, Marko, MB) so we can all have as many characters as we like, but its kind of boring to have like 24 characters controlled by eight players.
This RPG's problem is that people hold on to their characters and never post and refuse to give them up to anyone. It's wrong. There's no reason not to post as Sabretooth. Venom just said, we need more X-Men and X-men villains. You don't have to wait for someone to ask you to be involved in a storyline, you can make one on your own.
No offense, Creed, I don't know if you usually post and are just in a dry spell right now, all I know is alot of people never ever post, so sorry to use you as an example if its not merited.
Master Bruce said:I think this rule needs a little more enforcement, next season:
-You must post at least once every two weeks, though it is preferred that you post more. If you go two weeks without a post without prior notice, your character is up for grabs.
That way, good characters aren't kept from being actively played, and perhaps other players are encouraged to post more regularly.

Feature said:This is off-topic but, what's up with the anti-ultimates thing? We've got Sandman, Electro, Ock, Namor, Thing, and Bullseye all out. So now I think all that leaves is Cap vs. Hulk and Thor vs. Loki.
Anyone have any new info on Unstoppable? If he hasn't been around for awhile, maybe we should just let Byrd finish up with him.
Also, it would be good if Watchman and Sachs wrapped this thing up soon. Not to be rude, but very little has happened and my characters are both out of commission until this thing is over.![]()
I agree with you about enforcing the two week inactivity rule, I know it my fault for being too lenient on people. But I will work on that. And I like the idea about doing a trial run for third character play, if I get the ok from Spidey9X17 we'll select two or three people (or whoever wants to play with a third character) and see what happens.Master Bruce said:Hmm. Well, I wouldn't be opposed. I already know who I'd play were that to happen, and it's a character I think could work well into the overall scheme of things.
The only thing I'd be cautious about is it being too much for people to handle, so if it were introduced, I think it'd be better that it be put on a trial basis at first, like the two character rule in the DC Comics RPG we've currently got going. If it worked out, keep the rule. If people can't handle it, have them drop a character to ease the stress.
That's why I think this rule needs a little more enforcement, next season:
-You must post at least once every two weeks, though it is preferred that you post more. If you go two weeks without a post without prior notice, your character is up for grabs.

) so it can set the whole scene, before everyone posts and reacts? If you're interested? I can have it finished tomorrow and send it to you venom160? Watchman said:Sorry for leaving the Loki/Thor battle up in the air. I think I'm going to have Odin come down to deal with Loki.

Thanks for the feedback on galactus, I think all characters would benefit, because how would the streets be affected by a near apocalypse? crime would go awol! Think it would be fun, and we would spend i while trying to work it out, give us lotsa stuff? Glad you like it. I will write up and opening post for the season if you want(after all it was my idea, lol) so it can set the whole scene, before everyone posts and reacts? If you're interested? I can have it finished tomorrow and send it to you venom160?
Let me know anyways! I'm really into this!
byrd_man said:Well, the streer level heroes could possibly fight the Silver Surfers who raise hell all over earth?
Cyrusbales said:but to be fair, silver surfer versus pretty much anyone won't last long![]()

byrd_man said:Well in the Ultimate U. There are many silver surfers.
Here's what Wikipeida says about it.
The Ultimate Silver Surfers are silvery humanoids, with the ability to grow wings, morph into an ovoid or take an intermediary form, where they glide on the oval surface like it was a surfboard. The silver beings have shown the ability to manipulate large quantities of energy, and in one case possess a mouth with several rows of teeth that they can open extraordinarily wide - possibly as an application of a vaster set of metamorphical abilities. In general, though never stated as such, they resemble nanomorph entities of fiction such as Terminator 2's T-1000.
The silver beings have been sent to the Earth by Gah Lak Tus to start mass suicides, in order to reduce the population's resistance and allow Gah Lak Tus to conserve energy to exterminate and break down the planet into useful energy. Suicide cults founded by the creatures appear all across the world as Gah Lak Tus draws near, with the intent of engineering mass suicides to placate "the angry god."

pictures/scans anyone?Cyrusbales said:Either way, I can't see shocker going head to head with a silver surfer that easily, but we can make some artistic licensepictures/scans anyone?
