Hope everyone had a pretty solid Thanksgiving and all. Know I'm a bit late in that, but you know, I'm thinking of you guys and that's all that matters dammit
Anyway, my Thanksgiving was kind of weird. Me, my mother and my grandmother went to the usual family mega get together. One of my relatives (whom I've generally got along with in the past) got all over my case for being a vegetarian. He was behind me in line, and asked why I didn't get any turkey, and when I told him why he just kind of flipped his ****. I laughed it off as a joke at first, but throughout the whole day he kept bringing it up in this dickish way whenever we ran into one another. It wore on my nerves, and once when I was outside with my grandmother and he was going on about it, I just shouted, "Let it ****ing go!" Kind of let that F-bomb slip in front of my grandmother, which was awkward, but it finally got him to shut up. Really odd. Not sure if he was drunk or what, but super annoying. Besides that, though, it was a pretty good time.
Anyway, got some good Black Friday stuff, too. Picked up
Jackie Brown,
Hanna,
Mad Men Season 4 and
X-Men First Class on blu-ray via Amazon for just around $30. Can't beat that. Also picked up
Assassin's Creed: Revelations for $35 and
Uncharted 3 for $30 from BestBuy. I got the MGS HD Collection, too, but missed out on the deals, and only got about $5 off in the end, but whatevas.
My friend dragged me to Wal-Mart for their early Black Friday hell rush, but he goaded me with promising to buy me stuff for my birthday, so I had to go I guess. There I ended up getting the last two seasons of Six Feet Under on DVD and a $30 iTune gift card bundle that I got the second season of
Adventure Time with, and used the rest to pay for most of the last Flaming Lips CD. I suppose it was worth it in the long run, but good Lord, what a hassle with ridiculous crowds.
