that was what put it over the edge. the game looks full on ridiculous, and if i can do all that with a dude in a suit (no tie) and a luchador mask...i ask what more can games achieve?

I got it over the holiday. It's balls-to-the-wall f***ing insane, dude. I love it. This kind of tone suits the open-world, do-anything gameplay model better than GTA's shift toward more serious storytelling, as far as I'm concerned. I still like GTA 4 and appreciate that they wanted a change in direction after years of absurdity, but the Saints Row franchise is pulling ahead for me in terms of pure enjoyment.

speaking of bdsm, i figured out why i have a thing for bettie page and not marilyn monroe like alot of my friends do. as i was looking for a decent wallpaper of her decorating an x-mas tree to get me in an x-mas type mood (didn't find one, will have to make it later) i ran across some olivia de berardinis paintings. my dad had a set of trading cards of these paintings when i was a kid, which were my first exposure to pictures of naked ladies

agree with Corp....its just such a fun game to play, both regular missions and side missions

the game opens with something totally ridiculous, and the mission after that is equally as ridiculous

not less just varying levels....some missions are fairly normal but the humor is great and whoever did the writing did a bang up job with the character interactions
