My Mum teaches IT to international students and that matches her findings as well...

It might have something to do with how Asians don't usually assimilate into the fabric of the society that they live in. They keep their own culture no matter where they go and in most cases form their own little communities.

Thing is, Singapore's always been diverse. But we're starting to feel the strain of having too many foreigners in our little island taking up "our space", gaining "our citizenship" and all that far-right stuff. The local population feels it, but the good old Singapore government doesn't really care. See, they want foreigners in Singapore. Raises the cost of living, lines their pockets with new taxpayer money, balances out local anger with new hopefuls. So its quite hilarious when I think about it. Its local Chinese vs mainland Chinese, local Indians vs mainland Indians and Malays vs...well, Malays have pretty much lost out in every way here.

Ah well. Slept pretty good today. Youtube'd some Young Justice. It really does pick up a little after episode 11. Ignoring Superboy and Miss Martian of course.

i want to like young justice, i really do. i love the concrete timeline, the design style, the pacing,...i just don't give a **** about anyone on that show who isn't batman, robin, or kid flash.

I was pretty much bored stiff through everything I watched. It seemed like nothing at all of interest really ever happened. Even the characters I wanted to like seemed very dull. Maybe I'll try it again when they release the whole first season, though, in case it was just a slowburn thing, but I really just lost all interest.

Zatanna might be the best character in the show and she's not a regular... The first episode she was in she was like a breath of fresh air.

It's weird that he's behind it, and he has such an ace record. Everyone has that dud, I suppose.

I think Kid Flash really shines though. They try to make Wally act this party animal when in truth he's a tech whiz with super-speed. I found it cool.

I just feel that the show's creators worked too hard to make Aqualad the only likeable character on the show. Its like his the only one with a level head. And I'm not sure if I like Robin's somewhat playful demeanor but if this was Dick Grayson as Robin, it would make sense.

I also hate the whole Superboy-Martian picks up strays thing. I mean WTF? A weird alien ball and a mutated wolf? Give me a break.

Oh, and no Wonder Girl, either. Psssssst, I'm not even that huge of a fan of either of the Wonder Girls to be honest, but you aren't going to represent her when she was part of TT and YJ? Pssssssst, once again.

I do know they blamed it on some kind of rights issue, but supposedly it was the same rights issue that prevented Wonder Woman from cameoing on Batman Beyond and Superman: TAS, yet Wondie's in the pilot in all her star spangled panties glory (and I think I heard she had an extended cameo later on, too). So, whatevas.

Its actually kind of messy these character rights. I mean was Wonder Girl created by Wonder Woman's creator or much later?

Anyway, like I said, the show does pick up significantly after episode 11. I'm up to ep 16 and just saw the Zatanna episode. She would have been an excellent choice for the team.

I'm pretty sure that all three of the Wonder Girls were created after Marston died. I can't recall, though, he may have done some flashbacks to Diana, who was technically the first Wonder Girl. I don't believe so, but maybe. Donna and Cassie were created much later.

Wonder Girl will appear in season 2 likely, they didn't have the rights for her until after the show aired and they couldn't barely even use Wonder Woman originally, but now they can and she has her cameos.

I personally love the way the show progresses, but yeah it's had so many delays for getting released too early and now waiting for DC Nation.

Man i can't wait for Super Best Friends Forever in March. <3

$50 actually...and I prefer to buy them instead of watching them online when it comes to LOTR. And i've calculated all the extras + the extended movies and it's about 33 hours of stuff.
