Well, they do have it marked down to $90 right now, so that's a good $30 off, but it's still a lot. I'll see if I can sell that HC and get a decent amount toward it. It's out of print and usually pretty pricey, but since this announcement, the selling price probably dropped.

OH. HELL. YES.

And I thought the Thor one was going to be the only mega omnibus I would have bought. I can't pass this up.

:atp:

I'mma buy this

Codename Sailor V said:
Man, this Hulu Plus thing isn't turning out well. I watched the first few episodes of Modern Family via Netflix, and though I would just keep going with that free week of Hulu Plus, but nope, they only have the second season :/

What do you think of the series Sailor V

Yep i really dig it its definitely one of the better sitcoms I've seen lately

doesn't mean it is going to make a GOOD series, some books just need to be left alone

Truth but i think a well done adaptation could be really neat

It's worth every penny. :o

Amazon will probably knock off a large chunk off the price anyway. You can usually save around 50 bucks off Marvel omnibi through them.

Neat I might wait for the price to come down a bit then

So glad its going to be released as an omnibus

It was the best series of X Force :hrt:

Being taken out to the movies by friends tonight should be good fun. Dont know what we will be seeing hoping it will be good

Finally got around to seeing Thor. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I fell in love with Sif and definitely sympathized with Loki at the beginning of the film.

Oh my gosh i loves Sif so much. I love women who are beautiful and can kick ass :atp: I thought the actress playing her was great  a fab performance and the costume looked amazing

And Loki was probably one of the most sympathetic characters in the film. Glad they did such a good job with the character and I hope he is just as interesting and three dimensional in the Avengers movie

Had tons load of fun at my gaming buddy's crib, found my calling as a Smoke/Kabal/Reptile player in Mortal Kombat, watched my two friends destroy each other in MvC3, watched Paranormal Activity 2 (with no prior knowledge of the first movie) and then had a nice dinner to end the day.

Great way to spend my rare off days. Things are getting a little hectic these days.

@Hound, thanks for the input on Hitchhiking but I was kind of thinking along the lines of Lonely Planet style travel.

Been considering taking a trip to Syria next Ramadan. Not to cash in on their misery but I'm fairly certain ticket prices to Damascus will take a plunge and I've always wanted to see what the Oldest Populated city in the world is like. Might even have a chance to see the Umayyad Mosque where the head of John The Baptist apparently is enshrined. Was hoping for a little input on how much to bring for a two week trip.

Hope you have yourself a great time when you go on your trip sandwraith  hope you enjoy your holiday

And Mortal Kombat is fun on a bun. I like playing as Kitana personally

Those legs! :atp:

Oh ho... I'm all about Sindel babe.

But seriously the game has an awesome storyline. I really feel the writers worked hard on it.

I'm not going anytime soon on a trip Mysti. Tie up a couple of looses ends, set aside some cash, travel insurance, research, a little conversational Arabic to pick up...lots to do.

I've liked it so far

Hope you can get all of that sorted out okay sandwraith

Hulu Plus is a spectacular ripoff. The whole draw of Hulu is that it's both legal and free.

For real. I got real excited when they brought that **** on Xbox Live but then I remembered you have to pay for it. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me on Microsoft's part. Hook it up yo. $60 a year plus $7.99 for Netflix Instant plus another $8 for Hulu Plus? Hell naw!

See, id rather have my PSN go offline for weeks than wasting $60 for Xbox Live.

Hulu Plus doesn't play ads, allows HD viewing, allows handheld device viewing, and doesn't make episodes expire. But it's still subject to some wacky licensing bulls*** with the studios that results in weird things like only having certain seasons of various shows, as Tron mentioned. Personally, I don't mind the ads now that Hulu's actually learning to target me (i.e. showing me mostly video game ads and those badass Mayhem AllState ads), I don't care about watching random sitcoms and TV shows in HD, I don't really feel a need to watch Hulu on my phone when there are like a billion other things to do on it, and I actually watch shows pretty regularly, so expiration dates aren't an issue for me. So, to make a long story short: ripoff.

Damn it...PSN is STILL down...

On the bright side, got to catch up on some reading. Finished The Desert Spear by Peter Brett. Good book. Looking forward to the last book of the trilogy in 2012.

On the other hand, HBOGo is pretty damn amazing. All HBO shows, every season, every episode in the palm of you hand? Amazing. I'm watching Band of Brothers and then Oz, same show really.

On the other hand, I have five fingers.

Because you're cheap and you hate quality, and that's ok.

I'm happy to pay $60 a year for Live, personally. 1) It's not a lot of money, 2) it apparently guarantees a better quality service overall, and 3) it's never completely shut down for a month. I know everyone b****es about the 360s' failure rate and the cost of stuff on Live and all that, but after several years owning both a 360 and a PS3, I've been happy with my 360 while my PS3 has been a frequent source of disappointment and frustration. Maybe other people's experiences are different, but I've gone from preferring to buy certain games on the PS3 to literally trying to avoid buying anything for it due to all of its problems.

Exactly. People want to bring up a 2 week outage Live had a couple of Christmases ago but that wasn't network wide and in my case, my **** never went down. Also yes, the RROD is a complete "fail" but it happened to me and they fixed that **** in a week so no real complaints there.

That was the thing that really put me over the edge. My 360 died and Microsoft sent me a refurbished one free of charge. My PS3 died and Sony wanted me to pay almost the price of a whole new one just to send it in and have it looked at. F*** that. I just bought a new PS3 instead. If this one fails, that's it; I'm done with Sony. I'll miss Uncharted and some of the other exclusives, but not enough to warrant dealing with Sony's bulls*** anymore.
