Well that became a cult hit on DVD/Blu Ray. I suppose with this sorta film "cult hit" is the best you can hope for.

I'm seeing it thanksgiving day...right after I get my fill of food at the thanksgiving buffet at a nearby casino. Oh yeah. Blood will spill. I can't wait!!! This is actually one of the few movies this year to get me out to go see something.

Yeah it's going up against Old Dogs. There's also New Moon and Christmas Carol. I really don't think Thanksgiving weekend was a good time to release this kind of movie. Especially if they really wanted to do well. I fear this may be 2009's Grindhouse.

Christmas Carol will have been out for three weeks at that point, so I wouldn't worry about that one.

As for New Moon, there is a good chance it will stay #1 next week but personally I think it won't have good legs. Most of the screaming twitards will have seen it multiple times opening weekend. As for the GA, I doubt they are as interested in this Twilight series as the target audience which is middle school girls.

I don't think Ninja Assassin will hit #1 but my guess will at least be #2. If not, there just isn't enough respect or love for Ninjas anymore.

Damn, I hate when they take a movie and ruin it with rap on the soundtrack.

I hate rap music like anything and it really does ruin it.

It's not it being from the Heavy Metal genre that's ruins it.

It's just that I think Metal music of today downright sucks, end of.

Back in the day, there were great Metal bands like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest for example etc.

Now there is all this crap like Metalcore, Death Metal, Black Metal, Nu Metal etc.

The box-office for Ninja Assassin will be a tough one since there is A Christmas Carol, New Moon and I forgot the other film, are on slate.

So, these three films and the other one that I forgot, appeal more towards a different demographic of audiences.

its a stylized movie. so the CGI will stand out. a lot of people will not understand that its meant to be over the top action .you dont have to like it. but based on the trailer noone should expect a ''Nolan realistic'' movie.
