The Walking Dead "The Walking Dead" General Stuff & Thaaaangs Thread - - - - Part 13

That's really all the franchise can do at this point. I don't know how they'll make the CRM any sort of threat going forward after Rick and Michonne wiped them out in a single swoop.

I maintain that I'd love to see a Walking Dead prequel series all about Negan and the origin of the Saviors. Yeah, not everything needs explanation. I get that. But between Jeffrey Dean Morgan's charisma, coupled with the episode "Here's Negan" and Simon's appearance in Dead City, I think of all the Walking Dead potential ideas, people would watch a show all about Negan just creating the Saviors. There's already a framework in place with the "Here's Negan" comic arc and they could just expand on that since we have a cast of recognizable actors they could bring back. Heck, they could even show us the buildup to the confrontation with the main survivors from their perspective.

Just FYI buddy, The Ones who Live has only been out in the UK about a month, and we haven't had the DD and Dead City shows run here yet. Could you spoiler tag a lot of your post please.

Fair enough. My apologies. Still, really? I figured they all came out at the same time, especially with the second season of both Daryl Dixon and Dead City already filming or soon to air.

But I say that as I watch Orphan Black Echoes just now airing in the States, whereas it's already aired in other territories.

Yep for some reason they took an age to come over here. Im already halfway through TOWL but had some things spoiled for me already. It's just that others might not have.

You would think in 2024 this wouldn't be an issue.

Looks like McFarlane is getting back into TWD figures…

I'm glad the show is expanding to other territories. Again, while I wouldn't call this or any of the spin-offs mind-blowing, just the change of scenery is a nice and overdue touch for a series that's spent so much time in the woods or empty towns and cities. I know it's faint praise, but seeing new locations is nice. Curious to see if Spain leaves as much of an impression as France.

I’ve read a couple Twitter reviews and they all been pretty positive. Saying that it’s a great follow up to the previous season. Looking forward to Sunday.

I just hate that this and The Penguin will now be airing at the same time- will have to miss at least one per week! :D

Though if this show, like past seasons, will be dropping on AMC+ the day of ahead of its TV premiere, that might make things easier.

Nice. I like Merchant. Whoever he is, I hope he's not killed off in one episode, or not just the comic relief because projects like Logan have shown that he has a lot of range.

Finally was able to watch the Daryl Dixon S2 premiere and I really enjoyed it. This continues to be the most beautifully shot out of all the spinoffs and I love the locations. It was good seeing Carol full time in this series and the decisions and lengths she’s going to find her Daryl that will surely comeback in play later in the season.

Glad they brought back the memory of Sophia and how Carol has obviously not moved on from it and this season will most likely be her healing process with that. Daryl continued pull between his new family in Paris and wanting to return to his TWD family is interesting now that he’s developed personal ties Isabelle and Laurent but this was mostly Carol’s episode and her journey to Paris. Overall a really good start.

I think it's the best of the spinoffs so far. I may be a bit biased as I think Reedus would be perfect as an Old Man Gambit if they ever made one. :)
